I came across this bakery in Google maps and wanted to try it out. When I worked in downtown Detroit in the '70's we would go to Greektown at lunch time and then hit the bakery for Baklava...so good. The bakery has plenty of Greek merchandise, but I was there to get Baklava and Galaktoboureko, hoping it lived up to Greektown.    Read moreI would give 5 stars but two reasons I won’t. I love the authenticity and how they haven’t touched the place since 1952, but along with that they haven’t cleaned it since 1952 either. Also since Johnny the old owner hasn’t been there the selection has dwindled and very few options are available. Other than these two reasons the place really does olives, feta, bread, spinach pie, and deserts very well. Thank you guys!

   Read moreThey are very nice and welcoming. I love their Greek bread. There olive oil soap is great too! It lasts for a long time. They have a lot of great products. This last time I went they tsoureki!!! This was extra they made to sell from a holy day celebration from a local Greek Orthodox Church. Most places either don't sell it anymore or will have very little of it, and will only sell it during Christmas and Easter time. I was so glad to see that they were selling it also...
