I have been coming here since I was a child. This has been a haven of a bakery specializing in authentic Hellenic breads, pastries, and spinach and cheese pies. My go to place for getting real, authentic olive oil right from the homeland of Greece. Also has an assortment of dried Greek oregano and honey ranging from pine honey by Sithon to Cretan honey (my favorite is Monastiri). The feta cheese (from Greece, not Bulgaria) and Kalamata olives are also some of the best around.

This is an awesome little greek market full of imported goods from Greece. Won’t find better olive oil anywhere else aside from in actual Greece! The fresh bread is delicious & the cheese selection is great too. Jason is so kind & helpful & gave me so many tips for greek cooking along with friendly conversation. What an enjoyable experience going to this store, I will definitely be back!!

1st time here. Bought some Kasseri cheese...the opa, saganaki cheese. Coated with flour and heated in pan, and it was fantastic. Better than I've gotten in Greentown. I gave it a shot of 90 proof whiskey to add the opa fire to it..was nice, browned it a little more. Excellent, I'll be back. The baklava looked excellent here.

I came across this bakery in Google maps and wanted to try it out. When I worked in downtown Detroit in the '70's we would go to Greektown at lunch time and then hit the bakery for Baklava...so good. The bakery has plenty of Greek merchandise, but I was there to get Baklava and Galaktoboureko, hoping it lived up to Greektown. I was not let down, The Baklava is plump and has ample Honey, the Greek Custard is plump and has lots of Honey.😀 I took a bite of Baklava and instantly had visions of Greektown Bakery, I will definitely be back. You must go,...

I would give 5 stars but two reasons I won’t. I love the authenticity and how they haven’t touched the place since 1952, but along with that they haven’t cleaned it since 1952 either. Also since Johnny the old owner hasn’t been there the selection has dwindled and very few options are available. Other than these two reasons the place really does olives, feta, bread, spinach pie, and deserts very well. Thank you guys!

I will revisit this post and give 5 stars soon as...

They are very nice and welcoming. I love their Greek bread. There olive oil soap is great too! It lasts for a long time. They have a lot of great products. This last time I went they tsoureki!!! This was extra they made to sell from a holy day celebration from a local Greek Orthodox Church. Most places either don't sell it anymore or will have very little of it, and will only sell it during Christmas and Easter time. I was so glad to see that they were selling it also...
