Ordered green tea, black coffee, wild mushrooms, added jalapeño and chicken ($5 add-on), Harvest hash bowl, eggs scrambled, jalapeño and mushroom with our toast picks of the cherry walnut. $64.96
All fresh and good ingredients here. Very nice!
The hot oatmeal was nice and warm, better wi to a bit milk and brown sugar. All fresh fruit on top, that's as I would expect and it made it better. Eat it up quickly, it clumps up quickly and gets cold.
The Harvest bowl was really good on its own. I added some of the side of turkey sausage to it and some Cholula and it is yummy all around. Goat cheese makes any dish better.
The truffle omelette was good, the chicken was not dry and was cooked well.
Table cleanup of wraps and discards were left on one side of the table, the bigger cleared plates were taken care of quickly and moved off of the table.
Their turkey sausage was okay.
Their roasted herbed potatoes are simple, but quite good.
The cherry walnut bread is small, but ta It gets a tad warm near and by the windows, may need to kick up the AC higher to get to the tables by the windows.
Food is definitely high quality and it shows. All ingredients are fresh.
I would level up and make a home jam to level-up for their toasts, would fit their fresh...
Read moreGLUTEN-FREE HEAVEN! When we chose Orchid Brunch based on the glowing reviews, we had no idea that this delightful restaurant would offer so many choices for my mother, who's allergic to wheat!
Most breakfast spots limit gluten-free diners to some variation of eggs accompanied by are gluten-free toast; here, my mother could opt for gluten-free entrees like pancakes, waffles, and breakfast tacos. Most importantly, these options were not only available, "they tasted like they weren't gluten-free." High praise.
Orchid Brunch also lived up to the ratings for those of without dietary restrictions. The chicken that comes with "Chicken and Waffles" seems like an afterthought at many breakfast places; here, the entree included tender, boneless strips of chicken battered in an unusually tasty coating. And the "Lobster Benedict" that was one of the daily specials? I can't report on that - because there was none left over for me to take a bite.
Food aside, this little cafe is friendly, well-run, and not too loud (another problem I have with many breakfast joints.) The interior was immaculate and well-appointed. Kudos to Lena and her family for creating a brunch spot accessible and welcoming...
Read moreThis place was horrible. The service was horrible and the food was mediocre at best. It started with not giving us any time to look at the menu, then taking 10 minutes just to get our drinks, and another 30-40 minutes for our food to come out (when there was only 2 of us eating and a group of 5 that came in after us got their food 15 minutes before us) Our waitress, Ida, specifically came up to us and told us that the kitchen was behind and that she told them to rush our food but when the manager came over to ask what was wrong the waitress came back and then proceeded to lie in front of our face to her manager saying that she told us she forgot to put our order in when that is not what she told us at all. When the food eventually came out it was barely warm. The manager had her take off our drinks and gave us 2 free cookies that looked like they came out of a box and all they could say was that they were a new business which doesn't not excuse any of it. Overpriced and bad quality. We will not be going back. If you want a good restaurant with amazing food, don't waste your money here. Go to French Toast on 5 Mile and Plymouth RD. It is well worth the extra few miles to...
