Saturday night I was with my friends having a good time and enjoying our time together. The table behind us made constant snarky remarks which then escalated into homophobic slurs directed at my guy friend who happens to be gay. We obviously took offense to that, and made us feel unsafe as you never know what someone is capable of, especially while under the influence and spouting slurs at someone. We were minding our business the entire time we were there, and didn’t even speak to the people behind us. There’s nothing that should have provoked them to act like that. We then got the attention of the waitress to deescalate the situation and she refused to do so. It made us feel completely unwelcome and even more unsafe. We’ve never had any issues with service here before and we astounded by the waitresses lack of consideration. When asked if she would act the same way if they were instead yelling racial slurs, she just shrugged and said there’s nothing she can do. No apology or anything. Attempting to speak to a manager about our experience is deemed impossible. We have called every day since Sunday, with today being Thursday, sometimes calling twice in one day. Nothing but empty promises and at one point the lady laughed at my friend for calling and hung up in her face. Our only goal was to bring this to the attention of management so that something like this doesn’t happen to someone else in the future. Encourage this type of behavior not only creates an unwelcome environment for other patrons, but reflects poorly on the business if this is the kind of clientele you want at your establishment. At this point I’m more offended at the lack of accountability or understanding from a place we’ve spent money at multiple times before. We always like neighborhood hang out joints. Stables Bar & Grill is just that.

Stopped in this past Saturday about 8:00 pm. Place was hopping. Cheerful atmosphere, people at the bar, tables and booths. We were able to sit right down and we're greeted by our waitress who took no time in setting us up with drinks and taking our order.

Three ordered cheeseburgers and one patty melt. A couple baskets of fries and three pops.

I love a fresh burger where they aren't afraid to season it. Top it well and present it on one of the softest buns I have ever eaten. Fantastic.

Breaded mushrooms are just frozen Cisco mushrooms. Maybe pass on that next time.

So. I only bumped it down to four stars as I always do. For two reasons.

You have a cash price and a credit price. For what the menu items cost. I think 2% is a real turn off on top of the higher item price.

Alacart. 1/2 pound cheese burger is $ 12.95 with fries and coleslaw being an additional $5.95. we opted for two baskets of fries and I am not sure the additional $6 is worth it to be honest.

Other than those two things which will get a four star rating any day. The burgers were some of the best we have had in a long time.

We will return and our waitress deserves another shout out for sure !!!...

This place is an old favorite of mine. I lived and worked in the area for about 10 years. Some local guys put me on to it when I started working. The bugers always have been my go to, very good! My absolute favorite was the potato soup. It was only available on Mondays back when, im not sure about today. Surprisingly they good chilli cheese fries, alot of bars don't. Lol they have a pretty good menu with specials everyday. A little something for everyone. The beer is cold and the waitstaff is friendly. This place can be busy at times and you might have to wait a while, but the the food is worth it. I've tried just about every burger they offered and there wasn't one I didn't like. Overall this place is pretty good, I don't think anyone would be disappointed. The food is good and fairly priced. The atmosphere is usually chill ,full of regulars. A Good mixture of folk ,...
