*This is just an update from my review last year. The Detroit Aero Modelers had another of their yearly Christmas parties here at Steve's! Again, the food was excellent! One thing however struck me as odd. Steve's serves giant cups and bowls of soup, yet they don't have any crackers. Such great soups need crackers. Come on Steve's, offer crackers with your soup!* We had a great meal at Steve's! It was my family's first time dining at this great restaurant. My Radio Controlled Aircraft Club, the Detroit Aero Modelers, was having its annual Christmas party there. I was pleasantly surprised at the extensive Polish, Italian, and American food choices. I opted for the baked gnocchi with mozzarella and mushrooms and others ordered the Polish fair. I have to say the gnocchi reminded me of my grandmother's homemade gnocchi. The portions were large enough that some had to be boxed and taken home. I 100% recommend Steve's as the food quality and value is excellent.

A nice Spot for Polish-American Fare Nestled at 15800 Middlebelt Road in Livonia, Steve's Family Dining has been charming locals with its blend of Polish and American cuisine. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere is matched by its diverse menu. Breakfast here is particularly noteworthy, with items like potato pancakes receiving high praise. Lunch and dinner offer an array of dishes from Polish pierogies to American staples, satisfying a variety of tastes. During my visit to I opted for the Polish Combo, a hearty assortment of traditional dishes. This included a variety of pierogies, stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut, and Polish sausage. Overall, the meal was quite enjoyable, although the pierogies were somewhat thick and lacked a bit in flavor. As for the service, it was efficient but somewhat lacking in patience and friendliness. This aspect slightly diminished the overall dining experience at a restaurant otherwise known for its satisfying Polish cuisine.

The rating was more so for the service than anything else. The waitress took about 15 minutes to get our order even though they were not busy. The food was quite good actually. We asked for some sauce for the sandwich and they had none. Not only did it take a while to see us, but the waiter showed up to the table to ask if we needed anything just once (unless we called her). Again, let me emphasize that the restaurant was not busy. The ambiance was ok, nothing special. I may give it a second chance because I did like the pretzel burger. The kielbasa and pierogi aren't worth it here due to the quite small portions (comparing it to the competition in town). Oh, and by the way, specify how you want your egg for the burger because she did not ask.

I pass this restaurant everyday for work, always see its busy so I wanted to try it out. I have no complaints on the food really, it's just pretty basic food but the service was terrible. Our waitress walked by us several times before greeting us, when she did greet us we had sat for so long we were ready to order our drinks and food. Didn't think anything of it until I saw her going to other tables bringing bread and drinks. I saw other tables getting bread and drinks but when she came back all she brought was our drinks, figured maybe you had to ask for bread. Still no big deal. Till she dropped off our food and walked away so quick we couldn't tell she was missing my sides. When she did come back 10 minutes later I let her know and waited another 10 minutes for a side of kielbasa(not worth the almost 6 dollars for one link) she brought the check and that was it. She didn't even check back on us, ask if we needed a box, didn't even bring out our carry out order another waitress did. I go up front to pay and asked about the bread. Host said its served without asking, I'm just confused how we were missed with the bread especially because we asked about appetizers and I order lasagna (that did not come with garlic bread) I wanted so badly to like this place as I pass it everyday and would have loved to show my family but I won't be back. The disrespect from the waitress was unnecessary, I get having a bad day but she was friendly to every table but us. Only positive thing I can say is the hosts at the front were super nice...

Took my Gma here today. She wanted polish Kielbasa and saurkraut, and I heard that they were known for good polish food. The food was awful! The kielbasa had obviously been cooked hours prior. It looked grey and was rubbery. It tasted just as bad as it looked. We sent hers back and got the "smoked" kielbasa instead and it was much better. It was the right color and not rubbery. And tasted prety good. But, it wasn't anything special. The sourkraut was not very good either. Gma said that it was from a can. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not sure if it was but if that was the best they could do, why not just buy it in a can? The mashed potatoes were okay, but not even warm and came with like a teaspoon of gravy. I asked for extra gravy and 10 minutes later I had to flag our waitress down cuz she forgot. Then, the gravy was horible. It had a strong garlic taste. I suspect that was perhaps the cooks way of saying FU for not liking the kielbasa. I have to say that I looked through the reviews here and seen mostly positive reviews. And, whenever I see an unusual bad review amongst good reviews, I tend to think the person is hard to please. But trust me, that is not the case here. Maybe we came on a bad day, but it was evidently a really bad day! The pierogis were good, however. But, it didn't make up for the rest of it. Unfortunately, we...

When we came here we were greater respectfully when we sat down however being the only people of color there which shouldn't be a problem we constantly were stared at and had side eyes displayed. Though we kept to ourselves and were quiet and polite. When the food arrived the chicken dumpling soup looked horrifying. I wasn't sure if they just through some dough into a pot of chicken water or what. At least they were nice enough to give me one shread of chicken in my chicken dumpling soup and to top it all off they gave me some ocean water to wash it all down. Then for my main entree they served me flavorless leather it's a good thing it was flavorless. From what it looked it was sure to be something terrible with a very thick chunky gravy over it. As I moved to my sides I found quite a spurise! A HAIR! how delicious! I love raven curls it adds flavour don't you think? We will not be coming back. Oh I forgot to mention they left a little present on our fork dried cracked food from another costumer. Thankfully our server was nice I love playing and...
