I have been going to Whataburger my entire life and I will continue to do so, just not this one ever again. I thought perhaps the first two or three times that I went here and got horrible service was just a fluke but it turns out that is the norm at this restaurant. I ordered a simple Whataburger meal with nothing special in the Drive-Thru and I set there for 15 minutes and while sitting there I asked where my food was three separate times. Finally the kid looked over his shoulder and saw my food sitting on the counter, not under a heat lamp or anything but right next to the milkshake machine where it is cold. I also happened to get a strawberry shake and once they handed it to me it was completely void of any strawberry flavor. I handed it back to them and asked if they could please add some strawberry flavor to my strawberry milkshake and 10 minutes later the kid finally came back and literally had not done a single thing except set it on the counter and let it get warm. They also tried charging me for extra fries and cookies that I never ordered and actually argued with me over the fact. This was all in one visit however every single time I have visited this particular Whataburger they treat me this way. I would much rather drive triple the distance to any other Whataburger then ever go to this one right down the street from me again. Workers are lazy and completely apathetic, the managers are argumentative and feel like they are correct no matter what the situation is comma and you will be treated like absolute crap if you go there. Beware of this location. I never thought I would say this but you might have better luck and better quality food at a McDonald's then this Whataburger in Lockhart. If I could give it negative Stars I would. Hell if I could give it no stars I would but I am required to give it at least one which is five stars too many...
Read moreGood food. Our order was correct which is always nice. However when we walked in there was no one at the register. They were somewhere in the back (maybe helping the cook I don't know) but when the employee comes to the register she says absolutely nothing to us. She pushes some buttons on the register and then just stands there looking at us. Um ok. So as adults with manors we start the conversation by saying "hello how are you? " The response from the young lady "what can I get you? " Not very professional especially when your job is to speak to the public. Employees with no people skills should be in the back cooking not working the counter. Anyways even after paying there was nothing from this girl. No thank you. Enjoy your meal. NADA!! Then a young man brought out our food. He was nice and polite. Well as we are getting ready to eat we needed ketchup. Go to the counter and again no one is there. So I look around and there is no ketchup anywhere near the other condiments or soda machine. So I see the little tray most whataburger restaurant employees walk around with under the counter and I grab some ketchup. Clearly if I had waited for that same girl to come back to the register my food would have been cold. I gave 3 out of 5 stars because 1 bad apple shouldn't ruin it for everyone. But good customer service is something that should be required by...
Read moreWent through the drive thru and ordered a #1 meal w/cheese. Twice. After handing me my food the girl shut the drive thru window and apparently left to screw up the next order. As soon as I opened the bag I knew the order wasn't correct because my burger was wrapped in white paper. White paper- no cheese, yellow paper- cheese. I waited for a couple of minutes, but no one came back. I drove around and parked and went in with the cheese-less burger and stood at the cashier-less counter. After about 2 min a girl appeared and I told her that I ordered cheese but didn't get it. I wasn't charged for it but that didn't change the fact that I ordered it twice and still didn't get it. And the reason I ordered it twice was that I knew I stood about a 30% chance that my burger would be wrapped in white paper if I didn't. So the nice girl takes the neatly wrapped white burger and disappears around the corner. Where someone unwrapped it and shoved the cold cheese slice inside and wrapped it back up in the same white wrapper, which by now wasn't so neat. My son, who is the sweetest and kindest person I know had to be tackled to prevent him from taking the burger and tossing it back inside the store. We have decided after 18 years of this we won't be going back. And it's a shame because the burgers are one of the best you can get at...
