Always try to eat at local establishments and I hate to rate it so low but it was simply... NOT GOOD. Definitely not Authentic Mexican. Food was bland and tasteless. Had to ask for tortillas(for a extra charge) and they were of the simple grocery store variety, as were the tortilla chips. We ordered and had our food in literally 3 minutes, yes 3 MINUTES! Maybe it's what we ordered, but I have a feeling our food wasn't freshly made and probably microwaved. NTM the carrots seemed dirty. I barely touched my food. Decided to get a $8 hot dog at the movie theater and it had .lre flavor! On a different note, the service was very good and friendly and the price was reasonable(although not reasonable enough for the quality).

If you’re looking for classic Mexican food— then Angelo’s is your place! Located in the cute and quaint area of Downtown Lodi, it is a decent sized restaurant with access to street and garage parking, and a traditional atmosphere. The freshly made salsa has a great flavor! I wish they would include some homemade chips with the standard chips, but, I know that’s asking for a lot… The flavor of their food is very good— the carnitas are crispy and wonderful. The enchilada gravy is complex and delicious. The servers are always very attentive, the pricing is fair, and it’s a great place to get a bite before a movie. I also like their Pork Soup. Give it a try!

The food was okay, nothing too special. It was in town, and we saw some people in the restaurant hence we went in, but definitely have had better Mexican food. The chips were stale, and the salsa was watery, as if it's been sitting out for a while. I got cheese enchiladas, you can't really mess that up, but it lacked the mexican flavor. The enchilada sauce seemed watered down as well. Hubby got Huevos Rancheros, which came with thick, over cooked pieces of steak, no tortillas, and a small egg. Luckily he wasn't too hungry to complain, but didn't like his meal to say the least.

I kind of feel bad because I've been a server. They were extremely under staffed for the Holiday. My mother and I with my 1yo son walked in and seated ourselves per the sign at the host desk. They have a few dirty tables and about 30 people seated. We find a clean table and wait. We soon realize there are only 2 servers on the floor. We see more people walk in and seat themselves. 20min have gone by and the servers are still working with the tables they had already served. When they finally get around to new tables they ended up helping those who came in AFTER us. We left along with 5 other people. My mom tried to be polite and bring it to the servers attention that they skipped many tables,...

The worst chilirejanos I have ever eaten. I became sick within just 2 hours of eating them. I had gastric reactions throughout the night. Basically the food was so awful that I couldn't finish it. I have eaten at this restaurant before and have had the same reaction. The chips and salsa are much better. In my opinion, it is below average. I will have to say that the service was adequate, but that is not good enough to make me to visit this restaurant again. This is the first time that I have ever felt the need to complain openly about a restaurants food. I do have to say that it was not normal hours as I ordered the food at 3PM, but still do not expect the food to...
