Fuego Prime — Restaurant in Lodi

We REALLY wanted to love this place.

My family and I went in to Fuego Prime given that we are huge fans of the taco truck near Morada and frequently drive out just for their food. Unfortunately though, this sit down location lacks in nearly every department.

The service was abysmal and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable dining in anywhere else. They made a mistake with bringing my table an item that was also ordered by a near by table and the entire ordeal was uncomfortable and painful to sit through and listen to. We could hear them argue over their mistake and it made the entire experience overall not fun. They didn’t put out silverware and it almost seemed as though the staff on hand didn’t want to service anyone as they were not attentive to the tables.

The only exceptions to our experience was the bartender, she was GREAT and the food was very flavorful although we still would much rather go to their truck instead.

Sadly, I don’t believe we’ll be returning to this location which is a bummer. Totally wanted to like it and support. Hopefully they get their business running...

I normally never write bad reviews as you can see my profile. This one definitely needed one. I have never had this bad service. We ordered a flight of margaritas which were not bad. In the mean time I asked for an extra cup for my wife for water, after asking 3 times we got one. I could see they were busy so I let it go. After about 35 minutes we asked if our food would be out soon. At that point we were told that they made a mistake and our food would be out soon. Pretty upset I figured ok we all make mistakes they will rush our food and put a priority. We than waited close to another 15 minutes as we saw other people get their food. At that point I had enough overall we were there for an hour and asked to pay for what we had drank. Waitress did apologize, but was still pretty ridiculous,still had a close to 40 dollar bill and...

I came in to the restaurant where we were greeted by friendly staff. We picked a table inside. We ordered a michelada which was so tasty. This was our first time in and the server Anjel was very helpful with the questions we had. We ended up getting the shrimp cocktail which was a good portion and very refreshing and crisp. We also got an order of the award winning quesabirria tacos which were on hit! Super tasty! Definitely recommend! The dinner crowd was starting to pour in and it started getting busy.
