Los Charros Birrieria — Restaurant in Lodi

My dad and I came here this afternoon along with my grandmother. My grandma and dad's meals were completely different from what they had requested, and it took over thirty minutes for them to receive their food (I skipped lunch). When my father requested machaca, which consists of scrambled eggs and shredded beef, there was hardly any egg present. He also requested that the tomato be diced and scrambled into his meal, but this was not done. He received two tomato slices on the side as an alternative.

Red sauce-topped chilaquiles was requested by my grandmother for her order. When it arrived, the chips for the chilaquiles were incredibly soggy, and her order came with green sauce rather than red. Neither she nor my dad ended up eating their meals.

After our orders were taken and the food was delivered, we weren't really checked on at all. My grandmother had to flag someone down in order to even obtain drink refills.

We left with both plates still full and although the restaurant did provide a total of 35% off of the bill for the mistakes they’d made and the poor service, I feel like my dad really shouldn’t have had to pay at all since they didn’t eat their meals.

Ate lunch here this past week, it took me days to get over the fear that gripped me when we left. Yes, fear. My companion and I entered and ordered, sat down to wait for our food. There was a young man and woman sitting with two small children in the bar area. The small children were screaming the entire time we were here. My companion got up, walked over to the man and woman, and asked if the children were ok? The man immediately became angry and said "kids scream, what's your problem?" My companion returned to our table and the man continued to yell "if you don't like it, get earplugs!" I seriously thought the man was going to come over and hurt us, he was so furious. We left shortly after this very unpleasant incident, I asked the cashier if the man and woman at the bar were the owners. The cashier then proceeded to unload angry, terse words at me saying "they are family, all children scream, that's how children are" We could not get to the safety of our vehicle fast enough. I looked back, thought for sure one of "the family" was going to come after us and hurt us. Scary, scary, mean people....

I came in not too long ago with my brother to order some birria tacos since I live close by. We dinned in and ordered, food came out in a decent amount of time but when we saw the tacos the tortillas were so small and had barely any meet on them. That was a big disappointment hardly any meet on there I thought that was the whole point of the tacos. And we ordered birria tacos so we assume they would come with consume but no we had to ask for it??? And the service was bad they had like 1 other customer and no servers came by to check on us? I myself work in food industry so I would know how it works but no service not even to offer a refill? They didn’t offer us refills till we were about to leave? Like what’s the point? Anyways I would definitely not recommend and wast money here it’s not right how much they charge for...
