Introduction: Ruby's Bakery in Lodi, California, offers a modern bakery atmosphere with a focus on quality baked goods and excellent customer service. Here’s my detailed review based on my frequent visits. Atmosphere: When you first walk into Ruby's Bakery, you're greeted by a contemporary bakery aesthetic. The front area features tables and chairs for customers to sit and enjoy their treats. The servicing area, where all the baked goods are displayed, is partially enclosed in glass, showcasing the array of delicious offerings. Food Quality: Ruby's Bakery excels in a variety of baked goods. Here are some highlights: Chocolate Chip Cookies: Warmed up, these cookies are gooey and delightful. Macaroons and Jam Bars: The jam bars are particularly noteworthy, with Ruby’s making their own jam from locally sourced ingredients. Lunch Options: I usually opt for the avocado toast, ricotta toast, or the egg platter, all of which are excellent. However, I find the deli sandwiches a bit dry. Sourdough: The sourdough bread can occasionally be hard, but the staff is quick to replace it if needed. Cakes and Seasonal Items: Ruby’s Bakery also offers a range of cakes made in-house, including a delicious seasonal chocolate mousse cake. While it’s disappointing that this cake isn’t always available, the other cakes are consistently fresh and flavorful. Coffee: The coffee at Ruby’s Bakery has mixed reviews from me. I typically order the vanilla latte with oat milk. While the coffee is good both hot and iced, there’s an underlying taste I’m not fond of, which I believe is due to the type of coffee beans they use. Value for Money: Considering the quality and taste of the baked goods, Ruby’s Bakery offers great value for the price. The prices are typical for a bakery, but the exceptional quality makes it worth every penny. Customer Service: Customer service at Ruby's Bakery is top-notch. The staff is incredibly friendly, greeting customers warmly and getting to know regulars by name. They are also very accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone, including those with service animals and disabilities. Recommendation: Ruby's Bakery is a must-visit for anyone in Lodi looking for high-quality baked goods and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite a few minor preferences, the overall experience is consistently excellent. Conclusion: Overall, Ruby's Bakery provides a delightful bakery experience with its modern ambiance, exceptional baked goods, and outstanding customer service. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone in the area.

Ok so I was done fishing in the California Delta and I was craving something cafe-bakerish. So Google popped up Ruby's, I got my directions and sped over there. As soon as you walk in the door, you say to yourself now this is the definition of Cafe-Bakerish LOL. Loads of fresh baked pastries on display - people inside are buzzing - smell of coffee in the air - this is the spot even before I tried anything. With so many options I chose the ham and cheese croissant, a blueberry scone (I was hungry) and of course cafe latte. The croissant was amazing - the scone was good and the latte was perfect. Always remember to get the latte for here it tastes so much better than in those to go cups. So do I recommend Ruby's - heck yeah I do, I just wish I was in the area more often because I would be a regular. Please do not hesitate when this place pops up in your Google search, you will not be disappointed.

Really nice local Cafe and Bakery. I've been here twice with my kids and we loved everything we tried. The first time we visited, it was early breakfast so we had the croissant, the ham and cheese croissant, a honey bun, and coffee. The second time, we had "breakfast items" same as we had when we first came. However, this time, we visited around brunch time. After we finished, we noticed lunch type of food coming out. We need to come back ASAP! A guy from the back gifted my 2 daughters a mini sourdough bread. They were speechless and the act/thought made them love this place even more. Definitely coming back soon!

Went to Ruby's earlier today and felt like I wanted the world to stop and appreciate the moment with me and pay homage to the baker(s) who prepared all that deliciousness! As a group, we ordered a piece of crumb cake, a lemon custard pastry, a hazelnut pastry, a chocolate filled croissant, a sweet bun, a macaroon cookie, one chocolate chip and one peanut butter, along with rosemary ham and cheese on sourdough and a mushroom/spinach and cheese on sourdough, avocado toast, a turkey sandwich, mochas, and a cup of coffee! You don't need to drive all the way to SF for the best sourdough bread anymore, just downtown Lodi. The first bite of that spinach/mushroom and cheese bread made me close my eyes and chew slowly, as to savor the experience. I should have inquired about the spread because it was a creamy blend of mild but highly complimentary flavors, similar to that of a perfect pizza sauce, only better! With each item I tasted, the reaction was the same. The dark chocolate mocha looked and tasted divine. The turkey sandwich could have easily fed two people and those who ordered avocado toast devoured it. I highly recommend everything I mentioned above with my personal favorites being the sourdough cheese breads, sweet bun, lemon custard and hazelnut pastries. Friendly, cheerful owner and staff, great service, clean facility, and...

Many months ago, I gave this bakery a 1 or 2-star rating because of the awful customer service (The then-cashier wouldn't sell me more than 1-1/2 dozen chocolate cookies and when I inquired about the few remaining ones, she told me it was reserved for other customers. What? They couldn't make more?). I am revising that review because I can't seem to stay away from their delicious dark chocolate chip made with rye flour and sprinkled with sea salt cookie. I've since bought dozens and passed them to the Fire Department in Stockton, friends, business associates and of course, myself. Then I discovered their dark chocolate with condensed milk coconut cookies! OMG! Chewy and delicious - not too sweet. I've also bought dozens and passed them along to many people. I am definitely your marketing person. A bonus? The cashiers seem to be much more friendlier now. They greet and they say "thank you". ...
