Whilst I write this review with grace, I hope someone is able to guide this group of staff to where they use to be without shame or embarrassment.
I use to come here a lot as a kid, heck Iāve had childhood friends that use to work here and the restaurant was filled with people, inside and out!
Iām not sure the business aspect of that, as thatās not why Iām writing this review..
Iām writing it bc this place is filled with young employees who are striving to be a better and break statistics and barriers of those who are labeled ādonāt want to workā yet they are being treated like trash from the public and tourist because they are understaffed and undertrained.
This evening, I waited 30 minutes in a drive thru with 5 cars parked and 4 in the drive thru.
The guy in front of me with out of town tags, drove away; flipping the young lady at the window off along with the car in the drive thru..
This broke my heart. Itās not her fault this company is understaffed.
I had finally gotten to the window, a little annoyed because from previous years working fast food; drive thru, line and front, it shouldnāt have taken them this long but I looked at the responses given to other angry customers on the reviews and thought to myself āthereās people elsewhere that canāt even eat, yet Iām here and this is a luxury) as I donāt eat here often like I use to.
I had to repeat myself 4 times, and they remade my order 3 times & with the pricing of this Dairy Queen compared to others and portion given, it was a bit disappointing nevertheless; itās not their fault, they just work here.
My point being, please ! Whoever is managing/training these youngsters, do better without shame.
Iāve been inside as well and the staff running the shift is frustrated and being snippy with other coworkers and thatās not how they should be with one another.
They are too young to be this bitter, despite the generation.
I donāt need what seems to be a copied and pasted reply. Just listen to them so that they have less anxiety when listening to others!
Have one on one meetings with them periodically and see where you can improve.
Itās been like this for months.
Improvement is needed where money is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI work in the area sometimes and used to go here almost every week about but stopped about 5 years ago. The food was always pretty good but they messed up everything. Forgotten drinks, fries when I ordered onion rings I would just let it go mostly because I didn't wanna wait any longer so I just overlooked it and accepted it because the food was decent. I never complained once, but then about 5 years ago the staff developed an attitude. Not because I complained I never said anything they don't even know they messed up. I could hear them constantly laughing about other people's complaints and just in general you could tell they didn't care, very rude and unprofessional. I get its fast food and I wouldn't care either if I worked there. But they could at least do the bare minimum that theyre getting paid to do. So fast forward 5 years I was in the area and thought well I'll try again. Those kids who were rude are probably long gone from there by now. Well they must have trained the new crew or something lol cause its exactly the same. My order was wrong and drink was forgotten, wasn't even rang up. I read through the Google reviews as I was eating just for something to do and I'm amazed by how many people have had the exact same experience. Some of these reviews are word for word what I experienced here for years. Only thing i dont agree with is the complaint of slow service. All dairy queens have a slow drivethru so no complaints on that i dont mind waiting but its the employee rudeness I got tired of. Rude unprofessional behavior for no reason. I never complained about any of your mistakes. Its almost like they make fun of people for no reason you can hear their comments through the speaker and when they leave the window open. Sure did enjoy that chili cheese dog though I give 5 stars for that sauce. My job takes me over a 3 state area all week and i hit up different places and its unlike any dairy queen sauce ive had anywhere else. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family & I went to Ohio for a road trip & I regret stopping at this dairy queen for a quick meal. The chicken tenders looked like chicken nuggets, so someone from my party spoke up & they didnt seem to see an issue but did give some tenders because it was very unreasonable. However, when I was almost finished with my meal I noticed mold on my bread! I brought it to the counter & the guy walked away & didnt even care to look at it. Every employee was behind the counter & did not take my complaint seriously. I try to be a very understanding individual, but when I bring up an issue with something i paid for & get taken as a joke is something completely out of line. They were extremely rude & unprofessional! Almost refused my refund due to me eating the rest of my food yet claimed they did not see the moldy bread (i brought it up there but the guy simply walked away). I then was very heated that they did not care about whay type of food they are serving to their paying customers. I called corporate & they were more understanding of the situation than theyāre entire staff were. Supposedly something is supposed to be ādoneā about this whole scenario, but if you do not want mold on your bread & then be sick afterwards, i would recommend not eating...
