Found The Feed on Google Maps, then we asked our tattoo artist what was good to eat in Logan? The first place he recommended was The Feed! We knew it was a done deal at that point, and after doing some sight seeing, we headed here for an early dinner. It wasn't busy, and from the moment we walked in the door, Ivy, our server, was very attentive and nice. She took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. We had a hard time choosing, but we knew we had to try the Fried Banana Peppers. I also ordered the Hot Chick, and my husband ordered the Double Parm Burger. We read so many good reviews that we decided to get the Mushrom Dip, too. The Banana Peppers came out first, and the serving was HUGE. The Chipotle ranch dip for them was Delicious, and the Peppers were served Hot and Crispy. We only stopped eating them when the Mushroom Dip was brought to the table. At first, I didn't think it looked appetizing. I was So Wrong! The chips were crispy yet chewy, and that dip is AMAZING! It was hot, the chips were hot and fresh, and you could taste every component of the dip. We both thought it needed a little more salt and added maybe half a packet, but it would have been fine without it. We pushed the appetizers to the side, as we did not want to over eat and not be able to enjoy our entrees. Again, they were brought to the table Hot, Fresh and we couldn't believe how many onion rings you got for the side. My chicken was a Large piece, breaded perfectly and topped with just enough toppings to not overpower the sandwich. I couldn't finish my meal. My husband took one bite of his burger, served open face on Garlic Bread and said, "You have to taste this." The meat was juicy and well seasoned. The red sauce was delicious, and the Garlic Bread was fixed just right! He was able to finish his meal, but he said he shouldn't have. He just couldn't stop himself. Even though the menu is not large, there are so many more things we would like to try. We will be back every time we make it to Logan! Ivy did a great job at engaging in conversation and gave us some background on the restaurant and food. It became a little more busy as we left, but I would definitely wait...
Read more** My response to owner response:
I didn't read the full description under the bold print of Ribeye. Apparently that was my mistake. But, I guess I assumed after seeing 'Ribeye' in the bold print of the item, that it would be a 'beef' piece of meat. As did my husband. The same way as when I see a bold menu item such as a Cheeseburger, I also assume "it" is made of beef. Reviews are for people to give their own personal opinions. You may not like some of them, but you should respect the negatives as well as the positives. And if I'm not mistaken, pork is usually cheaper than beef. So yes, we'll have to agree to disagree. **
I will start off with the waitress that we had. She was very polite and very attentive to us. We never had to call her over for anything. But then I'll state that I was very disappointed in the Ribeye that I got. When I cut into it, it was a very pale color, like I was cutting into a piece of pork. Steak is a dark meat but this was not. I ordered it medium well, but there was no discerning if it was or not, because it was such a pale color all the way through. It was tender and very juicy, to the point that the plate had a lot of juice all over it. It was almost as if it was boiled before fried. I asked for A1 but was told they were out. The mashed potatoes were good. My husband got the Italian Sub special and was very happy with it and he really enjoyed the fries. The prices are very steep in our opinion. Especially if you only have to pay a dollar more for a steak dinner than you do for a cheeseburger and fries. The interior looked nice and the artwork was very pretty. I was sad to see that the booths had been taken out. The plastic chairs aren't sturdy and they wobble when you try to scoot the chair. I loved the "mom n pop" feel of the restaurant and the "home cooked" taste of the food when it was Busch's. I know all things must change with the times and I guess this is one of them. It's a nice place with a different spin on classic dishes. Just not our style. Prefer the old mom n pop, "classic" classic dishes and all the choices of homemade pies. I'm sure they'll do great as our little town is very supportive of their...
Read moreWe went here earlier today coming off of the Bigfoot Festival, and were really surprised at how fast the service was considering how busy they were!
Admittedly, they were out of quite a few menu items (mostly seafood) but like I said, they’ve had a TON of traffic this whole weekend, so it wasn’t a big deal to me at all.
Staff were nice and the food was very, very good. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip with bread chips (which I could’ve eaten by myself because it was so good, better than Applebee’s by far), wings, tots, and a Bygone Burger. The wings were decent but the burger was “A-ma-za-zing!” The meat was cooked just right and had the perfect blend of cheese and sauce. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture or I would have included it in my review; too busy eating!
Decor is really nice and minimalistic, everything has a blue theme which I think is neat and different. Prices are fair, too, about the same as what you’d expect when going to, say, Bob Evans, maybe a tad cheaper.
The only suggestions I would have for improvements would be to:
Fill more ‘empty space’ so to speak with music because it was a little awkwardly quiet in there despite a speaker being played from the back. Kinda felt like we were eavesdropping on everyone all the time.
Maybe put a list in the entryway of all the things that are out of stock when it reaches that point again, because even though we were perfectly happy with our choices, several small groups came in and tried to order multiple things they didn’t have.
All in all I think this is a great little place, and a nice addition to Logan’s near-nonexistent food options aside from fast food chains. I will definitely go back to try their desserts!
Side note, though: it definitely blows my mind that quite a few people seem to come to this place expecting 5-star service from a local small-town joint that just opened recently. It’s a new restaurant and they’re still learning the ebb and flow of things, give...
