We used to eat here often, however my husband started getting sick every time we would eat here! I didn't think much of it, because my daughter and I weren't getting sick at all. Now more and more, we all end up sick and we have found if we eat the tartar sauce with the fish, we end up regretting it!? I'm not sure if they are keeping it for entirely too long. Or what is going in just beware of the tarter sauce! The location is not a great location, it is HARD getting out of this parking lot! They often want you to pull forward, to allow tge food be ran out and I don't blame them at all for this, bc like many teens, I too used to work there, and the annoying ding, ding ding of the drive up window bell would drive me crazy! That being said, it suuuucks trying to squeeze in the tiny space alotted past the drive through and there are often several vehicle all trying to pull up there, it's already impossible to get out on busy market street, and them contesting the one way exit with more than 2 vehicles, leaves people cramed in. Especially if someone (its me, I'm someone) is trying to turn left out of the restaurant. Turning left is crossing the lane, to get to the far side of the street, again, impossible with the constant flow of traffic! Ok enough about the parking space rant- the food quality, is usually pretty good honestly, I know, I know, don't come for me bc I mentioned getting sick earlier 😆 , I really want to belive it's just the tarter sauce man, bc I do love the fish, clams and hush puppies! 🤐 Mostly kids working here which is usually a bad thing (bc let's face it, we all think our teens are little angels) news flash, most aren't! 😉 (including mine) but I will say, the ones here have never been rude, or disrespectful that I've seen, to customers. Using manners. Try to get you in and out quickly, they actually seem to care about people's experience here. All in all, it's not a bad place. 3 stars bc price and parking leave something to be desired! Uploading pics and maybe video next time I...
Read moreWorst experience ever I went in on March 23,2022 with my 4 yr old son the cashier it self was nice and helpful we ordered our food to eat in there my son got KFC and I got LJS well as soon as I had finished paying about to get my drinks I was told by another employee Hispanic that my food was ready I was really surprised it was done so fast I gathered my drinks and our food and noticed both of our fries mine and my son's were already kind of cold didn't make a deal out of it I was like ok, no wonder the food was already ready ,but the moment I grabbed the hush puppies omg both of them were hard like rocks I tried to squeeze them with my fingers and I couldn't they were so old I decided that was it I had payed for something that I wasn't satisfied with I got up and the Hispanic employee that told me my food was ready looks at me like what do I want liked bothered, I told her this are hard like rocks and her response to a complain from a customer was ( well there all like that) she turned around grabbed 2 more in basket and through them in the counter I looked at her and grab them and left my blood was boiling, but I kept my cool since I had my son she was so rude and very unprofessional not apologetic whatsoever or anything I mean her customer skills are at ZERO and now that I see the reviews I see I'm not the only one with the bad experience, I just moved from Texas where over there is all about customer service which I noticed this place is lacking...
Read moreOMG!!! I watched the cook, who had just been cleaning with a dirty rag, and with a band-aid on her finger, get into the cooler with her bare hands that she had NOT washed, and get out several hands full of fish and put them each into the batter, then into the fryer. She then reached around the corner to get a bowl of more batter and dumped it into the batter tray, BUT THEN USED HER FINGERS AS A SPATULA TO SCRAPE THE BOWL INTO THE BATTER TRAY . . . WITH HER BAND-AIDED FINGER!!! When I told the manager what I had just seen, and I said, "How sanitary is that? And how do we know that she doesn't have hepatitis or HIV?", the manager said, "I'll talk to her." I then said, "It shouldn't be just her! They should ALL know not to do that!!" This place could use some SERIOUS training from the FDA. These actions remind me of the Typhoid Mary "epidemic" in New York almost a...
