At the lax Sugarloaf Zaxbys, I purposely went into the restaurant to order, this time I've had several problems at that location this past year, with stale or dry chicken, undercooked chicken, drive thru errors, on and on... This franchise better get it together real quick-like, if they plan to stay in business in north, south, east or west Georgia!!! They continue to hire inexperienced kids who could care less about Zaxbys!! All most of them care about is their paycheck and their cellphones and playing like they're at middle school recess! The employee turnover in most Zaxbys is 70% of the problem. The cashier I had on Saturday night was seriously "out to lunch!" Pardon the pun! He stood there like a clueless 'deer in the headlights' just staring at me!! I was hungry as hell at 9:15 pm, and he just stood there. I think his name was Inaan or similar, a young East Indian boy. After I ordered, he told me "we don't sell blackened chicken!" I told him I've been paying them $8.15 for 'blackened chicken House salad' for 4 years, but he kept insisting that they didn't sell that. Then, thankfully, a young lady came over and spoke directly to me, and she walked back to the kitchen window and ordered my 'blackened chicken' (NOT black & blue salad, which I dont order). I paid the 'clueless' young man, who failed to ask me if I wanted anything else, was given my receipt, and then I waited about 5 minutes or so,and a different young gal handed me my salad. So, thank the Lord above, I didnt eat open or eat the salad in the darkness. When I got home, something told me to put my reading glasses on to be able to clearly see what I was eating. In the middle was the intact pre -cut chicken breast. Then what looked like very crispy chicken skin was next to that, I've never seen that before, but I was so hungry that I just poured the two packets of salad dressing on top of the salad and chowed down. After the third or fourth mouthful, in my peripheral vision, I saw something dark moving in the left edge of the salad, and upon looking closer, I thought I was seeing a roach in my salad. I flipped it over, and sure enough, it was a roach or a darkly colored LIVE AND KICKING lady bug!!!! I spit out the already chewed up salad in my mouth into a napkin and saved that. Then I put the insect in a separate napkin, put it all back in the Zaxby plate container and drove it back to the Sugarloaf store. The manager came over to me as soon as I walked up to the counter, because he saw the Zaxby bag in my hand. I told him my salad had a LIVE BUG crawling around in it, and I wanted a refund. That was on Sunday, 3 days ago. He took (and kept) my receipt, promptly refunded my $8.15, but not one word of APOLOGY or anything, and I've been buying their OVERPRICED salads for over 9 years!!! I dont remember his name, but how rude was that!!! Maybe he was embarrassed because of other customers at the counter. SO GET RID OF YOUR INSECT PROBLEM ZAXBY AT SUGARLOAF! No one is paying almost $10.00 a pop for live roach and/or lady bugs in their salads!!!! I will be BOYCOTTING SUGARLOAF ZAXBYS and Grayson Zaxbys for the entire summer!! DO BETTER ZAXBYS!!! Read moreYou know a place is starting to go down hill when they make you stop before you're at the window so they can keep their window times down to corporate. Then they give you your drink(s), and roll you forward off the sensor so it makes them seem like they're super fast when they're not. It's embarrassing, because I know you're lying - and you know you're lying.. but why? Why not just do better? This doesn't fool anyone, and just infuriates the customer.
Ordered a large 6 count plate tossed in mild, no slaw extra fries, no toast extra fries. After the little kid hanging out the window telling me that I can't stop at the window in some humiliating attempt for them to get out of corporate trouble I was told no mild sauce available, they're regular tenders. Sure.. Okay.. .. I get my order, which was $14. My drink did not have syrup in it (pure carbonation). My tenders were clearly full-sized tenders that had been cut in half - burnt, unseasoned. I had 7 total french fries. Seven. Is this the cost-saving measure they're trying to self impose? Skimping on.. your lowest cost item? French fries are a massive markup item, and I'm getting.. Seven? for $14? While subbing my two sides out for fries? How many would I have gotten otherwise? 5? Why? Why am I getting quite literally 7 fries? French fries are often a near 600% mark-up. Why is this the area you're choosing to skimp the customer?
Shrinkflation has hit Loganville Zaxbys hard. Even if we move past the corporate song-and-dance of trying to keep their window times down; you simply don't get nearly as much food anymore. There's no reason to patron Zaxbys when there's 50 competitors near by who are open later, operate faster, treat people better, don't stop-and-go you for window times, and give you more food for your money.. and that food is often better.
Easy option is Huey Magoos. Three minutes away, $12, pile of fries full sized tenders and sauces. Only downside is no real drive through at Huey's.
Used to love Zaxbys. Stuck with them after they changed their honey mustard and insisted they didn't. Stuck with them when they started giving tremendously less fry seasoning. Stuck with them when they stopped offering a basket of fries. Stuck with them after they stopped cooking fries crispy and started giving soggy stale fries. I can't in good faith stick with them after I paid -- for 6 tenders, and 7 fries --...
Read moreThis Zaxbys has terrible customer service. Management needs to replace these disrespectful employees with some that actually care about their job and customers. I will not return and from other reviews given I'm sure customers are being lost. I had a coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase. I went through the drive thru, ordered and told them I had this coupon. They said their scanner wasn't working but to go ahead and drive around, and they would make it work. When I got to the window, they said their scanner wasn't working. I said, you just told me to drive around & you'd make it work. The girl left the window. In the meantime, another girl at the window was laughing and too busy drinking her drink at the fountain. I was also handed a large order of food by a young male. I thought this doesn't look like my order but I took it. When the next girl came to the window, she stated the scanner at the drive thru wasn't working, but I could come in and order inside because that scanner WAS working. I said, I can't come inside. ( I am covid positive, and I did have a mask on) I asked for a manager, getting very rude looks the whole time. They then brought another bag of food and handed to me. I picked up the first bag they gave me and asked what is this. They looked at the guy and said, why would you do that. I was then handed my card back with a receipt that was incorrect. They still over charged me. These employees had absolutely no clue and should not be serving the public. Apparently the manager was just as bad and disrespectful. No apology was given. No thank you. Nothing except rudeness, wrong food given and taken back from someone that had covid and probably given to the next car in line, and overcharged. I would highly advise...
