El Burrito Junior — Restaurant in Lomita

Terrible customer service, the messed up my order and refused to fix it without me returning the tacos they made wrong within the 10 minutes before they closed (my son could pick them up on way home, I explained I am having hip surgery and not driving and my daughter has a baby she is watching and couldn't make it back on 10 minutes). He told me I could wait till tomorrow and return them tomorrow and get new ones tomorrow, I asked what am I supposed to eat tonight. He said "Oh, Um I don't know." I asked if we could just keep these and eat them tonight and get the ones I ordered and paid for another time. He said he absolutely could not allow that. He needed to get the other ones back from me. So I told him if I have to bring it back tonight I am bringing all my food back and want a refund. He told me "sure no problem." I have been going once a week for over 7 years. He even mentioned it when we first picked up order he knew our order without giving the number. But apparently loyalty means nothing, no customer service, they are rude and think you are out to steal. They don't speak English well and apparently don't know the difference between Chicken and ground beef! I will never go back to this location, Redondo Beach is far from me, but...

Today I tried something different from El burrito. The carne asada burrito and it was just disgusting. I never had such nasty carne asada like I did today. The flavor was bad, the meat had a pink color to it and looked like undercooked hamburger meat.

I called the store and got a refund and told the girl about my order and was refunded immediately. So thank you for that. I am always weary of buying carne asada from Mexican places because only few make it how I like it. Which is browned and marinated and minced well, no chewy or fat peices. I recommend king taco in long beach or tortilla grill in Lancaster CA.

All in all I don't recommend this place, overpriced and low quality food. Try the more better locations such as Torrance Blvd or the one higher up on PCH. Also don't get the carne asada, they don't use a high quality meat or marinade.

I can’t speak for the other locations but the lomita location isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. Now 8-10 years ago this was the spot for some great food. But ever since the restaurant changed ownership or management some years ago the food is just average and the portions got smaller and prices more expensive and overall quality of food and service sealed the fate of elbjs lomita. Sadly I made several attempts to give them another shot but I’ve only managed to end up disappointed telling myself I told ya so. Now instead of going to the convenient spot I went to for 20+ years I go out of my way and go to el Tarasco or super gallieto or anywhere but el burrito jr in lomita.
