Very disappointed, made a reservation five days in advance with my employee discount. I am employed for a Quality Inn my title, Head of House/Housekeeping supervisor. My reservation was for the Fourth of July, one night. An hour upon arriving I receive a phone call from the hotel manager that he cannot honor my employee discount and I would have to pay full price. yes, we had a few words back-and-forth but with no time to find another hotel last minute on the Fourth of July I excepted. Arrived, checked in gonna leave luggage that was not going to be needed but first I proceeded to check for bedbugs because the room already gave a bad vibe. It was smelly, First red flag, then noticed underneath the mattress there was a bunch of folded towels filling in a dent between the mattress and box spring also there was no fitted sheet they had a flat sheet instead. smh but at least we found no bedbugs. so off to find a spot for the fireworks event at Redondo Beach. Arriving back to our room close to midnight exhausted showered fell asleep. In the morning I got a look around our room, every ledge I ran my finger across was thick with dirt/dust window ledge, headboard, light fixtures frame, the AC and filters were disgustingly dirty, paper wrapper a battery other debris behind the dresser. Our TV was working but had blue lines all in the middle of screen. One side of toilet was very dirty the other side the bolt was covered with plaster or caulking whatever it was. As a Quality inn employee we are required to use Choice hotels logos throughout the hotel including & especially the linen but our towels were Not Choice hotel brand. Big No No! Very very disappointed. I took photos of all these issues I found wrong with the room and yes, I will download them soon. Upon checking out I showed my photos to the front desk clerk her response I’ll let housekeeping know. I called Choice Hotel customer service and explained my experience. They were very apologetic, called the hotel to talk to the manager of my experience/complaint. Were told he was in a meeting. Waited over an hour with no response from management ... Thank you Choice privileges Hotel customer service representative who granted myself enough points for a free night... FOR...

Came to town for work on an outdoor job. Our boss booked this hotel, but was told he couldn’t book for us under our name without going through Expedia. Booked and received confirmation. Arrived at 2a to check in, to be told our reservation has been canceled “because the card declined” yet no one called us, our boss, or Expedia to inform us of this. So we had to pay out of pocket. We also had to request a copy of the letter the employee showed us through the window stating our booking was canceled. Our boss’s card has been charged and we’re having to fight with Expedia to get reimbursed because the hotel never said they canceled the reservation.
The room was nothing to write home about. The refrigerator tilts forward, but mostly worked. We bought some ice cream that ended up melting one day, but our ice packs were able to freeze overnight.
The shower has very low pressure, making a shower after work take twice as long. The towels are very thin and small. There is no light over the shower.
The walls are very thin and you can hear everything!!!! This was very annoying when groups decided it was okay to yell, scream, and cheer until 3a while trying to get sleep for early work mornings. Also, every night multiple emergency sirens and fireworks.
There are many great food options nearby for almost every cuisine desired. The microwave in room worked well enough when we didn’t want to dine out.
We always leave “Do Not Disturb” signs up wherever we stay. Despite this, housekeeping entered the room, took out trash, refreshed towels and toiletries, and rearranged items in the refrigerator. Yet, did not make the bed.
We ended up having to check out a day early. Employee claims we will be reimbursed for the day not stayed....
Read moreWas pretty smooth getting the room they are kept clean. Not as spacious as I prefer for double beds. For the most part I enjoyed our stay here. I got a call one night from front desk telling me to turn my shower off. I said ok why? they said overflow issues. Thought that was strange because I used it for one minute to clean my daughter's dress off that she got stuff on. Not too bothersome because I wasn't actually in the shower. The thing that bothered me most was on checkout day a maid came a knocked on the door asking if we were ready to leave. We still had about 35 minutes at that point. So we continued arranging our stuff and kids to get out making sure we had our belongings in order. Then 10 minutes before. Checkout another worker comes to the door and asks if we are almost done I said we will be out by the designated time. I tell you I have never felt more rushed to get out of a hotel as I did that particular day. I mean you see us taking belongings to the van and knowing we have kids. It made check out more stressful then it had to be.That was probably my most unpleasant complaint for this hotel. Other then that it's very clean and decent for the price. Front desk can be a little more friendly and maybe not talk to people like they are stupid. But hey maybe the man was having a bad day so I didn't put much...
