Lomita's Best — Restaurant in Lomita

I have been there twice this year so far...the restaurant and restrooms are a lot cleaner than most Mexican restaurants...that's a plus...I had the favorite according to the staff; of the bacon, avacodo, cheese burger. I ordered it to go and like I always do now, I ask for all the condiments on the side. I do that for two reasons, no soggy bun, I can pick & choose what looks good enough to put on the sandwich, and oh I guess there is a third reason, so I don't get a lettuce, onion & cheese only sandwich...and why are the onions served at "fast food" restaurants so damn "nasty".... I know you waiting with bating breath for my order the second time...I dined in the outside patio with my Dog "Jack" and had the "T"-bone steak as they called it..with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables...all was good except the steak had a lot to be desired, too thin like always in a small Mexican restaurant, but then again it was $11 and change so I guess I can't complain too much..my Dog had some bones to knaw on along with the hard parts I couldn't eat...I would go back and eat again, they are pretty efficient...

I really like Lomitas Best. The food is good, the staff is okay, I’ve never gone inside but it looks pretty okay from the outside. Today I made a mistake and didn’t check the bag all the way and thought I was missing a few burgers. So I went in and asked about it. They told me to check again. No problem. I probably missed it. However, their attitude was so genuinely nasty. I’ve met high school bullies honestly nicer. I’m a teenager and I have about a team of 30s year olds mean mugging me. I consider myself a nice person so I answered them respectfully. I checked back in the car and saw that I did miss it. I even went back and apologized saying that I did find the burgers. I came back in hearing a bunch of grown adults still talking about me. I think it’s pathetic that the staff act like high school mean girls. There wasn’t a reason to act the way they did. Anyone would be upset after being treated like that. It costs nothing to be kind and yet they went out of the way to be the rudest they can possible. I would just say not to interact with the staff much, unless you want a bunch of side eyes...

Th service is slow in the food has no flavor. My breakfast burrito was given to me cold.

First time trying the spot since moving to the area. I tried Steve's burgers and the other side of Torrance so I'll use them as a comparison. I found Steve's food to be very acceptable.

First of all the drive-thru is extremely slow. I waited behind two cars for at least 15 minutes by the time I got my food it was cold. The first bite of the burrito was bad. No flavor at all. The potatoes are boiled and unseasoned. The salsa taste like blended tomatoes-- watery and lifeless. I had to heat it up in the microwave. Heating it up brought some of the flavor back. But generally speaking this was not a good first impression. When I have to put salt on a breakfast burrito, that's bad.

I'll try the spot one more time-- this could be a unfair review for...
