Fosters Freeze — Restaurant in Lompoc

I have been here multiple times and this location gets a solid two stars. I have eaten many times at other Fosters Freeze locations and I do not enjoy this one at all.

The ice cream menu is wonderful and delicious , and the only reason we ever went back here more than once.

The building and parking lot is run down and dirty. When a business does not maintain the outside, a customer wonders where they are cutting corners on the inside.

I have received burgers that are not hot nor even warm, but have a cold patty. Has it come from a fridge and been inadequately reheated? Or was it cooked and sat at room temperature for far too long? I have worked in too many restaurants to eat hot food that is not hot, and cold food that is not cold.

When drinking a root beer freeze, I found clumps of peanut butter in it. This left me to wonder if they had just moved from one drink to another without cleaning it ..... or if they had washed it but not made sure it was clean, which would mean I was potentially also consuming soap and other leftovers floating around in the dishwasher. I would not drink it.

The staff seems irritated by having to take orders and payment, and serve food to customers.

There is a sign by the drive thru saying the prices are not the actual prices. The prices on the menu are constantly changing. You don't know the price of something until you get to the window.

Experiences here have been consistently poor. It is a pity because I love Fosters Freeze and I would eat here frequently if this...

I spent $37 for 6 chili cheese dogs 1 chili cheese fri and an order of onion rings. It was the worst meal I have ever paid for. First of all the prices are to high for the quality you get. The buns were stale I couldn’t even cut them with the utensils they provide. There wasn’t even enough chili and cheese to cover the hotdog. Just a dollop of it in the middle. The same for the fries. I had enough chili to maybe taste it on 4 grid that weren’t even throughly cooked. The onion rings were horrible mushy no crispy ness to them. I wouldn’t have even given the 1 star but I had to to give this review. The service was friendly for what you got which wasn’t much because they were to busy laughing and talking to concern themselves with a customer. I won’t be recommending this establishment to anyone and I won’t be back. I’d rather drive all the way to Santa Maria to Der Wenershnitzel than...

I phoned three times and was hung up on. I live right around the corner and knowing that they were open in I physically went in to inquire about a gift card and the person in red blonde hair and very rude and defiant informed he did not hang up on me but he did, otherwise I would not have kept trying to call. He as much told me it was my fault, he should have apologized instead of arguing with me, I have been in retail longer than this boy has been alive. Instead of saying I’m sorry for the miscommunication and How can I help you? Then I phoned when I arrived home to see if they would pick up finally a young woman answers and I ask for managers name, and I hear him in background, Is that the same lady that’s been calling? I told him I was calling corporate, and he stated, Good luck...
