The food was awful. My husband had the Carne asada, it was very dry. Sad to think that the best part of his meal was the grilled onions. I had the shrimp enchiladas, the sauce tasted out of a can. But the rice was ok. It is embarrassing to have people think that Mexican food tastes that bad. The service was good. Nice waitress, very attentive. But the food was way too expensive, $42 dollars for okay rice, tasty onions, bland fish tacos, and awful everything else... waste of money! never again. Don't recommend to anyone.

Terrible food we ask for fish fillet with garlic and fried tilapia with garlic. The fillet was extremely greasy and the fish was no flavor are all we don’t touch the food and returns. We complain but nothing happens. We ask for the check and they charge us the 2 orders. The Owner tell us we need to paid because on Lompoc all the restaurant never do a returned very very bad customer service specially for the Owner. We never coming back to El Palmar Restaurant Lompoc 🤷‍♀️

I got the deep fried red snapper. It was good, not a lot of flavor, I used a lot of like on top. You only get two corn tortillas, but they are the best that I’ve had in a very long time. Will go back to try their menudo some day.

Best shrimp tacos, bar none! It's rare that I go to a restaurant and order the same thing every time, but the shrimp tacos are so amazing and unique that I never order anything else. They don't deep fry them, they chop em up and grill em, put them in a fresh, homemade corn tortilla, put a bit of a ranch type dressing, cilantro and onion. Simple. Perfect. Delicious. 🤤😋 The refried beans are great as well.

The owner, I believe his name is Juan, but we always called him Leo is always there, always grilling and always very friendly. Not sure where Leo came from, maybe because he first set up shop inside the old Lenny's bar (Now Johnny's) but he seems to talk to nearly everyone.

As I'm writing this review some other patrons were paying for there order and I heard them say "best Chile Rellenos in town." So maybe I'll try them next time, but I don't know,...

The food was good the service was great. We stopped because we were in the area and wanted seafood. They did not have what we were looking for but the server came to our table, she was very personable so we decided to stay. I think our server's name was Melissa/maurissa, she explained the tortillas were made in house and selections were made to order. There were a couple of locals seated and another family came. the family was greeted with familiarity and excitement by the cashier and servers. This is not a big fancy dining establishment but the food was good. The mojarra was fried perfectly with crispy exterior but the fish was still juicy tender inside. Will...
