My family and I decided to come here for dinner not too long ago, since we remember their food was pretty good. Once we entered the building we could see it was packed, with a few open seats. We stood there waiting to be seated, but not one waitress even acknowledged us. We didn't know whether we should seat ourselves or what. We waited for 5 minutes, and non of the waitresses said anything like hold on or in a minute or even to find a seat. Once eye contact was made, it was never made again. Awful service, I'm pretty sure it's not hard to just seat us then hand us our menus. We left because standing there was just pointless. Also from first impression of the place after not being there in years.... it's gross, I love old fashioned looking restaurants, but this place just looked like it was falling apart. Old tables, chairs, the set up is quite strange. Not ever going there again, I've never had an experience where it's obvious the employes are purposely...

This place is run down, old tables/chairs/booths. Careful where you sit yourself or especially if you take children, some of the paint/grout is coming off the walls and end up in your food or the children may entertain themselves peeling it off. Probably has led. I'm surprised the health dept., hasn't made them do the necessary repairs to continue safe food service.

There are other really great local restaurants to go to. It only takes one time to ck some of...
Read moreA childhood favorite, after my recent visit I can safely say things are just as good as I remember them. I like the homey atmosphere of the place and I've always been a fan of the chicken enchiladas here, absolutely fantastic and just like they were when I was younger. Prices are good for the portions you get, the food as far as I've had it has been great. Not oily, just good cookin'. Service is friendly as always, and I haven't ever had problems there.
Only thing I feel has changed for the worse is the rice and beans that usually come as sides, they didn't taste quite the same, and I wasn't as fond of them this time around. Maybe a fluke.
Either way, a classic fixture of Lompoc with some good food to boot! I...
