Asahi Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Londonderry

The Asahi Restaurant and Bar has been in Londonderry for about a couple of years or so. About a year ago, we decided to give it a try and we have been going to Asahi ever since. They serve the Americanized version of Chinese food typical of most Chinese restaurants, which I do not intend to be a criticism - because their food is wonderful - sushi and Japanese cuisine as well. Asahi consistently serves up fresh, hot and delicious dishes. Their appetizers are great, and we have never been disappointed in any of the dishes we have ordered. Pricing is reasonable. Asahi is now our go-to restaurant whenever we have a craving for takeout. Ordering online is easy - with the opportunity to 'tweak' dishes (hot/spicy, [or not] - etc) so dishes can be made to order just for you, if you like. Their location - right on Route 102 - makes pickup very convenient (which is why we have yet to eat in the restaurant's dining room). Asahi delivers within Londonderry (which is a plus for you Londonderries!). The dining room's décor and atmosphere is pleasant and inviting; it would be a fine place to eat in as well. Haven't sampled any of the drinks from the bar - so I can't comment on their cocktails at this time, but I will be happy to check it out and...

Dropped over 60 on drinks and food today. Way overpriced for what you get.... All 3 of my gin and tonics week as hell by the tim i got to my 4th it was basically drinking a flavored water... Had all of the lime from the previous drinks and way too much ice but for a 7 dollar drink i guess its what you could expect.... The portions are way to small 8.50 for 4 beef teriyaki???!!! Really???? Any other place is at least 7 for that price.... A small portion of xribs for 8.50 when i ordered a large. The lo mein is a child size portion for 11 dollars.... I mean come on... Im actually surprised i saw a few people in the entire place at dinner hour.... Maybe 4 tables out of 30 and 3 at the bar. Step it up a notch you might go places... I dont recommend at all go to chens or superwok. Remember Asahi this is America we all fat as hell!!! Small portions and weak drinks don't make for repeat customers, unless they themselves dont know any better. Good luck! You're only like the 4th chinese/Japanese restaurant in that location. I just called to place an order for delivery with a coupon that I’ve use from there menu before and was told I couldn’t use a coupon for delivery, but I’ve done it before for delivery. Then was told I can’t have it delivered because my order was .25 cents short for the delivery cost limit of $30 and they said add another food item which I had, but took off because I couldn’t use the coupon (Which I told them) and didn’t have enough money for the extra item that I took off. They said I can add a duck sauce to bring the total over $30, I said “ you’re going to charge me for something that comes with my food for free just so the cost goes over $30 so they can deliver it. Then the girl that answered the phone puts the manager on while I was talking without me even knowing. She told me the same lame info. So I said you rather lose a sale and a customer over .25 and she said she can’t do anything about it! And I rather starve over giving them by business. Well I will pass on the good...
