My mom found this place about 4 years ago and there are no words to describe how this place and their treatments and staff has changed my life for the better.

When I was 10 years old I was diagnosed with PCOS. I have had all the symptoms of PCOS, especially unwanted hair. Before I found Spa Medique my mom and dad had spent thousands of dollars of treatments for me because I could not go through my teenage years being the girl with the five o'clock shadow. But nothing worked. Absolutely nothing. I have done every possible treatment and every single one of them has been excruciatingly painful with zero results.

I don't know how my mom found out about the specific treatment that Spa Medique has but she found it and I figured I had nothing left to lose, although I was skeptical. Let me start by saying that the staff is absolutely fabulous. The owners, incredibly nice. Before coming here I would always feel embarrassed going to different places for treatment. The entire staff here makes you feel so comfortable and like you're family. They discuss the treatment with you and they have ideas on places to treat that I didn't even think of (ie. inside my nose, which hurts but the look afterwards makes it worth it) and there is no pressure to go through with anything.

During the treatment they make everything comfortable and they talk you through it. I have had many laser and electrolysis treatments done so for me this is not painful anymore, but it's not exactly a walk in the park. However, don't let it deter you from having it done because after my first treatment I saw MAJOR differences. I have dark hair so even after shaving there would be black patches where the hair was. After my first treatment, completely GONE. It was a miracle. I couldn't believe the treatment had actually worked. I ended up moving to California very shortly after (within the first 6 weeks after the first treatment) so I ended up doing the last 5 treatments in California at a different facility. They say the typical treatment is 6 times, 6 weeks in between each one. I did my first 6 treatments and now when I visit my parents twice a year I come here for my bi-yearly treatment.

I bought a package deal for 6 laser hair removal treatments about a year ago. This was my first time doing hair removal, and I was optimistic about it, especially after my first contact was so positive. Steve was very understanding, and was able to explain things well to me.

However, that's just about where the pleasantries stopped. My next visit was rushed, and I ended up with burns that didn't heal for several days. I mentioned this to the receptionist over the phone, who was extremely cold and uncaring. Upon my 3rd visit, the worker talked all about how terrible it was to work there, and would not stop talking about their personal life. To make things interesting, she then became insistent I try the weight loss program they were selling (I'm not even that large!). At the time, I just dismissed it and still made a fourth appointment. Despite having an appointment card, and scheduling number 4 in my phone, I was called the day before my scheduled appointment and then told I had missed the appointment and would be charged. I called back to complain, was met with a 'tone' from the same receptionist and then was told if I made the appointment that I was originally scheduled I would not be charged the missed appointment fee. At this point, I was fed up and just wanted to finish the final two treatments but was told that since I tan in the summer I shouldn't reschedule until the fall. Two weeks later I received an email "confirming" that I had completed my package deal. I called to complain and was told that I had in fact finished the package.

To top this all off, my hair is still growing in just as much and as quickly as it was before I started. My suggestion to other people is don't waste your money, especially at this establishment.

I drove all the way from Connecticut to New Hampshire to visit Spa Medique, based on a friend's reccomendation. She spoke so highly of Steve and his staff, insisting he does the finest laser work in all of New England! I received an IPL photo-facial to help reduce sun damage and dark spots, in addition to laser hair removal in multiple areas.

Not only were Steve and his staff incredibly friendly, they made me feel comfortable even during some of the more awkward treatment areas. Steve really spent a long time with me, thoroughly explaining all of the pre-and post-treatment procedures, providing crucial knowledge that really aided in the healing process. I have had laser hair removal in the past and you can tell when somebody isn't utilizing the laser's proper strength. 6 weeks out from my first treatment, I have seen a significant reduction in hair re-growth (unlike other medi-spas I've visited in the past). My favorite thing was the IPL photo-facial. After just one session my skin looks amazing. I've seen a significant reduction in my freckles and my sun spots helping create a much more even skin tone. I absolutely cannot wait to visit Spa Medique again for more laser treatments. Thanks again Steve,...
