Hannaford — Local services in Londonderry

My son and I arrived just about 10 minutes before they were to close, well, I had to use the restroom, one their female employees stood in produce and basically watched us almost as if we were about to shoplift, she looked like she may have been a manager or something similar. My son looked for his drinks while I was using the bathroom but, he couldn't find them so he walked back over to the area I was. When I came out, asked if he found them, he said "no ma but I really have to use the bathroom quick" I told him to go t I would watch out for the drinks and meet him in the front. Well, the woman that was watching me was now up front speaking with another woman. The other women asked if she could help me find something while the original woman continued standing there with her arms crossed she asked if my son was in the bathroom, I said yes and her reply was "well he needs to hurry because we're closed." In the meantime at 9:53 he came up behind me asking if I had any luck finding the drinks, I said 'No but we're leaving right now" he said okay I'll just find them at the gas station, her reply to that was yeah you should there's one right up the street. I will never step foot in that store again not after being made to feel that way nor will I recommend that store to anybody and I will let them know what happens when you go in there just before close at night. Extremely inconsiderate and rude customer service. I just visited this location with my husband and newborn baby on April 24th 2022 at 2pm. While we were there my husband purchased beer and they requested to see both of our IDs. I was pushing the baby carriage and my husband was pushing the grocery carriage and he had his ID on him, but they insisted that I had to go get mine out of the car while I was waiting for him outside of the line close to the exit. Meanwhile, I just had a baby and I am not in good condition from birthing a child and the beer is not for me even though I’m well above 21. They held up the whole line behind us while I limped slowly back to the car to get my wallet. The manager was extremely rude and so were the other five employees standing at the register with her. They made snarky comments to me as I was leaving too. I didn’t realize it took so many people to check someone out. Seemed like they enjoyed my discomfort. I didn’t catch the managers name but I if it’s not Karen I would be shocked! Truly a terrible experience. The manager and workers must be absolutely miserable to put a customer in this position. I shop at this store every week. I also shop at Market Basket. I buy things at Hannaford that MB doesn't have. I also buy most of my produce & meat at Hann. The prices have increased, and are now almost as bad as Shaw's. Perhaps they are passing on the cost of their restructuring to the customer. If I didn't utilize their rewards program, I wouldn't shop there at all. I noticed that they have moved the greeting cards in the pet food aisle. If that is permanent, it is stupid. The cards belong where they used to be which was next to gift wrap and other sundry items relative to cards & gifts. It is always dead in there, which is an indicator that people are tired of the price increases. Shaws is never busy either. I'll stick with it unless it becomes more outrageous. BTW, the Hannaford brand napkins have suddenly become smaller and have a less smooth texture. I won't be buying...
