Cassidy's Corner Cafe of Long Beach — Restaurant in Long Beach

I came in this afternoon with my 8 year old to try this cute spot as I've passed it many times and finally was able to try it out. The selection was good, though it's only bagels, which is fine. We like bagels. My daughter wanted a kids steamer drink , and the barista added a nice amount of whip cream, and my daughter was stoked! Unfortunately, as lessons happen, she went straight for the whip cream (unknowingly how hot the content in the cup was) and tilted her cup enough where she got a good amount of scolding milk on her lap. Luckily, I had asked for a cup of ice when we ordered to cool down her drink beforehand. So I tossed the ice on her lap once it happened, and thankfully, the manager came out and quickly brought a pitcher of cold water to pour on her legs to ease the burn quickly. Complete learning lessons on my little, unfortunately, as she'll know now how to handle a hot drink properly. The way the manager came out promptly and acted fast to attend to us was awesome! I was frazzled for a moment and left abruptly as I wanted to get her home and changed out of her wet clothes. I didn't get to say how much I appreciate the quick step of the manager who helped us at that moment. Thank you so much! We will be back again, and next time, we will order a cold tea for the kiddo 😀 Again, thanks to the manager who acted quickly in helping us, you're amazing!!! I don’t know what took me so long to make it in here. Maybe it was the amateur looking logo (what is it? A moon? A cookie?) and I thought it would translate to some overly-homey atmosphere with wooden handwritten signs hanging from sisal rope and cat artwork… but definitely not the case! Clean, modern atmosphere. The bagels were super fresh, to the point that your favorites may sell out if you come too late. The Joe’s Special breakfast sandwich was delicious with a little jalapeño spice and on a tier way above what I’m used to from Einsteins. Can not say enough good things about Cassidy’s Corner on Spring Street. The food is amazing and this is one of our favorite family breakfast and coffee spots. This morning my 3 kids and I stopped by to pick up breakfast before a Saturday adventure. My 2 and 4 year old were having a tough time and were loud while ordering and waiting. Not only was the staff kind and understanding but they even brought out my food to my car when I took my kids to settle down. The customer service is always stellar but this is a true testament to the family friendly and customer centered service!!...
