The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Long Beach

THIS COMPANY HAS NO LIVE PERSON AGENTS, YOU ALSO CANT LEAVE A COMPLAINT AS THERE SYSTEM DOESN’T WORK! Very disappointed in my visit to the specific location. I had a coupon to be used on Thursdays for a $4 mocha/vanilla ice blended drink. After ordering I asked if they could hold the coffee extract as it makes me stay awake all night. At the register I was told I couldn’t use the coupon because the drink couldn’t be wrung up. I didn’t understand as the coupon was for the mocha/vanilla ice blended drink. I was then told that because I wanted the coffee removed it would change the drink it a pure something(who knows) and that the coupon couldn’t be used for that. I didn’t ask them to add anything else; simply didn’t want the coffee extract. Why they would need to input a different drink into the register because it didn’t have coffee is beyond me. I asked to speak with a manager as it just didn’t make sense to me. My asking to remove the coffee extract my thought was made the drink less expensive for the company. I brought this to the managers attention and she stated the corporation makes them change how the drink wrung into the computer. It was hot and I truly didn’t want to let this vex my spirit so I said ok; I will simply take my business to Starbucks where they have no problem with just simply removing the coffee and still using the coupon. On Friday morning I called to 3 different locations in Long Beach and was told this location was simply making it hard on me; that my request to remove the coffee extract absolutely was cheaper for the store and that if I wanted to use the coupon again on a Thursday they would be happy to make it for me. It’s a shame I went out of my way to visit because I have loved the coffee bean and tea leaf for decades and this store was the closest to me at the time. This visit left a very bad taste in my mouth and I most likely will never come again to this location ever. Honestly being told this is how their corporate office operates I’m not sure I would bother with any of them again. This is my favorite coffee bean ever. I purposely go to this one even though it's a litter farther from my house because the service is consistent and reliable. If you're like me and don't want to get out, the drive thru option is efficient and quick, and in the rare occasion that there is a long line, it's moves fast. Always.

I sometimes work late hours and really REALLY appreciate that they stay open late until 10 PM....and they actually do stay open until 10, and don't start shooing customers away at 945 or 950 like some other places. I also sometimes order delivery and they always get my order correct (which is nice because a lot of places slack when it comes to mobile food orders)

When I first moved to the area and started coming here I noticed this one younger employee in particular named Miguel, who knew my order after just a handful of times of me coming there. I eventually introduced myself and to this day, over a year later, he always greets me by name. He has never messed up my order, not even once (and I come a lot now) and is just a genuinely sweet kid who enjoys his job. I'm frustrated with this coffee bean location. I am not going to drink the "peppermint mocha ice blended" I just left the drive thru with, because it seems to be just ice, milk, & the chocolate sauce around the cup? Where is my peppermint mocha flavor?

Ordered just a cup of hot coffee the other day and left drive thru with a drink that was green, and before that ordered a mocha ice blended and got one that again, was white and tasted like ice and milk, not even vanilla as a white one should.

This is pretty recent, I never used to have regular problems with this store. I will happily update my experience if something changes but I guess I gotta start taking back the mis-made stuff because it sucks to pour it in the sink when I get home. Last, as much as I don't like giving a poor star rating on the staff section because they are always really nice and all, I have to say these are things that only happen when a team is not communicating with each other and/or not paying attention.
