I went to this location while visiting Long Beach today with a friend. Nice enough store, but mismarked items or using names to catch people who are unaware. Blue Obsidian which is glass, Bolivianite, which is Ametrine and can only be called Bolivianite if actually from Bolivia. Not sure these were. The girl working there was nice enough and helpful, but she didn’t know the stones I had in my basket and advised that I needed to take photos of the info cards. When I asked if they had info cards I could take home with the stones, she advised that they were for purchase… which is absurd. (I only like to have them as a sort of collection bc every metaphysical shop has a slightly different variation on what each crystal means.) Then she asked me to provide her with the names of the pieces so she could ring them in. Of the many crystal shops I’ve gone to over the years, I found it to be very strange that someone working there didn’t know what I brought to the register. This was a first. I then asked if she could cleanse my stones and she advised to put them in a selenite bowl on the counter. As she priced each, she placed them in the bowl and I rotated and cleansed each. Then at the end she went to grab them all and I asked her not to, hence the cleansing. It was just a strange experience and with the myriad of amazing crystal shops elsewhere, I likely will steer clear of this shop in order to go to one that has higher quality crystals, knowledgeable sales people, and isn’t focused on the design of the store over the...
Read moreI went yesterday but I wasn't able to go in even though I stood in like in the cold waiting to get in for over 20min. I was informed that there closing soon and if we knew what we wanted she could get it and we could purchase it outside in the COLD but we where not going to be able to come in and shop today. The ladies in front of me had been waiting over 30min and drove from an hr away to get there. This was my first time there so I wasn't sure what all they had to offer but I did come there with the intent to purchase a magic candle because I like the fact it had crystals at the bottom of the candle. They where out of the candle I wanted although they did have a list of candles and I made a substitution. Over all my experience was not do great and there prices where kinda on the high end a single stick of palo Santos was $6 and the magic candle was $18 not so bad given that you get crystals at the bottom. I think they should have cut the line off and allow everyone that waited in the line the opportunity to go in and buy instead of entertaining window shoppers for over 30min when only 2 guess can go in at a time. There has to be a better was to service customers then...
Read moreI've been to other HOI's in Los Angeles on Melrose and on York Street also good but I prefer the Long Beach Store because its closer to me so I've been there more often. With that said I normally dress my own candles, collect my own sage , my best friend owns a Metaphysical Store in Northern California. Ive been on this path a long while But sometimes I mix it up and want a fancy beautiful candle and for that I head to HOI Long Beach.Their candles work 100%! Just add your magical intentions and it will do its job.. Big fan of the Obstacle Remover , House Blessing and Ancestors Candle, stick incense and Oils. Everyone I've come across working there have been very nice people. Love this store glad it exists! HOI please consider 🙏 opening a store in Huntington...
