Subway — Restaurant in Long Beach

Let me start by saying I REALLY like this Subway. The bread is always fresh, our to go orders ready and waiting BEFORE the time they are due. Great food, great service, great staff. However...

Tonight I walked in to pick up a to go order. Keep in mind, we are currently under a mask mandate and they are required indoors. Supposed to be a $500 fine to the business, but if it isn't true and a way to keep confrontation down, well played. As I was masking up in my car, I saw a man walk in. No mask. Obviously a to go order, he was right back out. But still, no mask. Followed by another male customer. Also no mask. At the door I see yet 2 more male customers inside without masks. I was tempted to say something, but people are crazy about the mask thing, I don't own the business, and I don't expect someone making minimum wage to put themselves at risk. That being said, I expect the company to step up and take notice what Walmart and others are doing about laying down national requirements for all their locations to help stem the spread. I wanted something quick to eat before work, because I didn’t have time to prep. I was happy with the food and the speed. However, I am disappointed with the attitude I get from one particular female. She barely looks at me and doesn’t smile. And she gives that vibe that she wants to get rid of me. And she never says anything other than what I want. But she’ll talk about her schedule with her coworker. She could learn from her other coworkers regarding how to present positive customer service, which I had 10+ years experience of. I never had issues with them. I have visited this location many times in the past. Unfortunately, due to this constant treatment from her, I’ll rather go out of my way to Firehouse Subs and spend more money with better service! Kaitlyn goes above and beyond, to explain and help me have a back up plan, if the Subway app, goes south aka down. I can still get my order placed, with her alternate suggestion, due to, 100% permanently physically disabled.

Kaitlyn knows how to (what I like to call) think outside the box. And, she is a very kind spirited soul, with awesome, communication skills.

I vote Kaitlyn, for promotion, to a supervisory position. She's ready!

The 1 star for Food, Service, Atmosphere are due to the Subway app not accepting a payment card. Apparently, this is an ongoing situation Subway. Is it nationwide or the store? Do you not have a reporting system aka call center to let Subway's tech dept know that your app needs a revamp?
