I'm a coffee guy. It's my go to drink. However my friend recommended that I try this spot so I decided to give it a shot. This place is in downtown Long Beach, so just expect parking issues.
Upon entering the shop they have Acai bowls, smoothies, juices, and vegetable shots. I decided that I was going to go for a ginger shot pair with a peanut butter chocolate smoothie. Let's start with the ginger shot.
I'm not a big fan of ginger. I find it very strong and mostly repulsive. I was feeling a little under the weather so that's why I went for it. I must say that I quite enjoyed it! The ginger was not overbearing but it's tasteful presence was there. It was accompanied along side lime juice and Cayenne pepper. It was very delicious!
Their peanut butter chocolate smoothie was just perfect. It was very well balanced between the 2 flavors. The best part is it wasn't so thick that you couldn't get it through the straw. I was able to enjoy it without the need of a spoon which is a huge plus.
For these 2 items I spent just under 9 bucks. Not bad...
Read moreI stopped by Tru Nature Juice Bar to finally try one of their famous açaí bowls, and I went with the Caribbean Passion. The place has such a bright, clean, and welcoming mermaid vibe the moment you walk in. 🧜♀️
The Caribbean Passion bowl was super refreshing, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It had a nice tropical blend that made it perfect for a light, energizing treat. The fruits were fresh, and the toppings added a great texture.
One thing to note: if you’re expecting a traditional thick and pure açaí base, these bowls are a bit different. They blend the açaí with other fruits into more of a smoothie consistency, which may not be what açaí purists are looking for. I prefer a more classic açaí texture, but I still really enjoyed the overall flavor. I’d come back to try their juices and smoothies and maybe explore some of the other bowls too. Tru Nature is a great spot if you’re craving something fresh, fruity,...
