Ward's Restaurant — Restaurant in Long Beach

We've been going to this specific location for 4 years. Everything was good, no problems or issues until about a year or so ago. I was repeatedly getting burgers that were cooked on the OUTSIDE but RAW on the inside. I cant remember how many times I've had to go back to Ward's after driving home with disgusting raw meat unknowingly. THEN the hamburger patties started tasting like they'd been cooked DAYS ago and kept in a warmer of some type. Really gross and tasted like I imagine garbage tastes. I stopped going to Ward's altogether. I'd spoken to managers, returned food and just had enough. One evening I decided to give them a try again as some time had passed. Everything ordered was PERFECT. I was thrilled and thought maybe they had new management. Last night my family was in a rush so we went through the drive thru to order. We got home, began eating and EVERY SINGLE HAMBURGER PATTY WAS RAW INSIDE! I was so disgusted. My child was disgusted. Neither of us were able to eat. I bagged everything up to go take it back. I'm really disgusted by RAW meat and just knowing I ate a BITE of it makes me want to VOMIT. I cannot even EAT after this happens. This is THE ONLY place I've ever had such a hard time with cooking meat until it's thoroughly cooked - REPEATEDLY. I'm no longer willing to just speak with the manager. Management is OBVIOUSLY unconcerned with safety standards of food and LAZY. This is apparent not only by the quality of the food but also by their appearance. Honestly, if the person managing a food service business APPEARS filthy and dresses like they're lounging around the house - They're not going to care about your food quality. If customers consistently complain about RAW meat it's a problem that needs to be fixed. I'm no longer willing to even have another conversation with "Management". I'm contacting the owner and the Health Department. I would NEVER recommend this Ward's to ANYONE unless they love...

Omg, this restaurant is the best breakfast place on the coast. At least I think so, and at the minimum, they are among the best. Mainly because they have a country fried steak biscuits that are so very truly good with egg and cheese. This is so yummy, and it's also affordable. I would be sure to come early because they always have a long line for a small restaurant like itself. Don't be fooled by the outside look. Because it doesn't look like much. But I assure you they have the best breakfast. They also have biscuits and gravy, which is also great. Everything is always homemade style. So it doesn't seem as if you're getting fast food at all. It truly is my favorite place to get breakfast, and the burgers are also nice size. Then the other thing I love is that Mr Pib seems to have the perfect carb count, or I'm not sure what it is. But on tap, it truly is the best tasting version of Dr. Pepper that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting in my entire existence. You will like it. I promise you won't regret it. Finally after 18 months of living near this wards, we decided to give them a shot. I ordered the regular combo with cheese and Mr.Pibb. Wife ordered the small popcorn chicken with diet coke. Kid orders the chicken strip kids meal with cookie and drink.. it was 8pm on a friday night, no one in drive through but us.

We live close by and decided to take it home. Staff was nice and friendly. Recieved food and got home. Frys were nice and hot but did seem like they were reheated . My burger was ice cold and looked like a train ran it over. Overall tastes okay and did enjoy the sonic like onions. Wife's popcorn chicken was good and seemed like a hit. Again the frys were bot but seemed to be reheats Kids chicken tasteless and frys same as before.

Overall I would say food was 3 out 10. Service was 7 of 10

Might have been a off night. But not a very good first impressioness likeliness to return 3 out of 10.to go...
