I would like to like this. We all wonder what the $20 Mac and cheese place is all about. I guess I paid money to learn some history. This used to be Tortugas which was a long time favorite of Longmont apparently. The owner (I think?) was there when I picked up (wicked construction but enter from the alley, pickups happen from the back of the house), he told me they bought the place and are renovating before opening. He was nice but when I opened the meal, the Mac and cheese was clearly old and sad. To be fair I ordered around 9pm but I assume he makes big batches of Mac and cheese instead of each to order. Big miss there in my opinion. Steak and shrimp were decent but not $30 decent. I manage restaurants and bars so I would love to help them correct this. Contact me if you are reading this owner of Longmonter. I can help you correct this if you want. Otherwise I spent $40 to find out what I'd been wondering since moving here a few...
Read moreAs the 69th reviewer, it only feels right that my experience here was nothing short of… satisfying. The Longmonter knows how to serve it up hot, tender, and exactly how you crave it.
Every dish leaves you lingering for more—whether it’s juicy, rich, or bursting with flavor in all the right places. The menu clearly understands balance: bold when it needs to be, gentle when the moment calls for it, and always hitting the sweet spot.
The staff? Smooth, attentive, and always ready to deliver with impeccable timing. Honestly, they know how to treat you right from start to finish.
If food could flirt, this place would be the ultimate tease—drawing you in with one bite, and leaving you completely devoted by the end. Let’s just say my relationship with The Longmonter is official: five stars, no hesitation.

Read moreLoved our meal from the Longmonter! - We had the "House Chicken" & Mac and were surprised and delighted by this dish! The Mac was super creamy and cheesy and had a lot of flavor (6 cheeses) ! The surprise was the chicken, tender & so flavorful, sorta Terriyaki, but not.. had a kinda Cajun flare to it as well! "House" Chicken is hard to describe, but so easy to love! We also had the Truffle Shrimp & Rice w/ Roasted veggies, and it was savory and delicious too. A house salad rounded out this meal, and the dressing made it especially yummy. We were way too full for dessert, but got the Date & Pistachio Dark Chocolate bar anyway (for later). Very generous portions for sure! We had a lot of food left, and it was awesome the next day! Can't wait to see the inside of this place when they finish renovations in a few months! Try the Longmonter, you'll be...
