King's Wok III — Restaurant in Longwood

Never have I seen Chinese food like this. It was appaling. there was rice for 3/4 of the container and there was barely a 1/4 of the beef and broccoli in that container. every time I have eaten Chinese food, which is a ton, I get one container for the main dish and then they put the rice in another container typically the white little box and for almost $13 per container yes the little black ones with the clear lid, that was so not worth it. I got about $4 worth of chicken and broccoli and beef and broccoli and paid 8 to 10 dollars for rice and the taste was weird the beef and broccoli was decent but the chicken and broccoli had a really weird odd taste to it. It was like a plastic taste or a chemical taste to it and the rice was okay. $35 for beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli and a small lo mein and I could have gone to other places closer to me and paid $18-22 and had bigger portions. that food was so disappointing that I only took a couple bites of each one so it was a total waste of my hard earned money. This is why I don't try new places and I knew I should have followed my instincts on this...

Looking at other reviews, it's possible I just had a random bad experience but unfortunately I won't be trying my luck again with this location. I will give them credit that the speed and price is good and if the food was better quality overall it would be a good value but it was far from decent. My main concern started with the fact they heavily rely on frozen and canned ingredients (see the image below, the takeout box is for frozen egg rolls!). The baby carrots and mushrooms tasted straight from a can, the peas appear revived from a frozen state. The "homemade" iced tea tasted like the powdered tea from Costco :/ The egg drop soup seemed fine and the shrimp in some items were well cooked however, the general tso chicken tasted like it came from the publix frozen aisle. I'm sure other restaurants supplement with premade stuff but typically the resulting dishes are more enjoyable...

TERRIBLE customer service. Very rude, unappreciative staff.

The food is great! Excellent Chinese food. No complaints with that!

HOWEVER, The main delivery driver is awful! I’ve ordered from them multiple times, and the bulk of the deliveries are from a very surly, unpleasant and rude driver. He never says thank you, never says hello, never smiles and stands at your doorstep, staring with a miserable face. Every time I have tipped him 20% , and wish him a great night - only to occasionally get a grumble back saying the same thing. The other delivery driver is friendly, however, he rushes you like a maniac and runs to the car as if the car is going to take off without him LOL. One of the ladies on the phone is somewhat rude also. They really need to work on their customer service - Both in person and on the phone. ESPECIALLY with repeat customers who always...
