I haven’t been to a sonic for over 5 years, this being maybe my first in my young adulthood. I just moved down the street and wanted some burgers the other day and was happy to see there was a sonic near as I never lived near one.
Fast forward to my review:
The order: I pulled up and gazed at the menu before pressing the red button to have Craig take my order of two classic burgers and mesquite burger.
I had gotten the combo with one of the classic burgers so I could enjoy a drink. For my drink I noticed I could add flavorings, so instinctively I asked for sprite with blue coconut flavoring. Turns out that is how they make their ocean water drink which had a beautifully refreshing taste. It was close to the coconut berry Red Bull without the sourness and caffeine.
After ordering I could see the items being played with and though nothing of it. Until I saw that Craig had changed my combo order to the mesquite burger, saving me a couple dollars! :)
The wait: It wasn’t bad maybe ~10 mins. They had a steady flow of people there, and Alanna was working diligently, going in and out, bringing people their food.
The food: The burgers were wrapped so nicely. Upon opening them them I was given a very neatly made and symmetrical burger. The condiments were so well placed that it didn’t fall apart or make a mess while eating.
The taste: The burger was solid and quality. Nothing you’ll shoot your mother for, but definitely a good burger.
My favorite are the pickles. They’re out of this world! They have such tang with a slight cucumber hint. I can tell there was pepper in the brine. They have such a nice kick with the tang without the heat and saltiness.
Conclusion: Overall this is a very convenient eatery with good American food, and a vast spectrum of flavors in their drinks, deserts, and food, with good customer service and a care in the craftsmanship of the...
Read moreI was running late from work one night and decided to stop and grab dinner for my family. I placed an order at 9:14 and the app said it would be ready by 9:20. I arrived, put in my stall number and waited. I waited about 8 minutes and then check the app to find that they had marked it as completed. I called the store to ask if I needed to come through the drive through to get it, because they appeared to be backed up a bit. The lady who answered was condescending and said, "No, you're waiting on food!" I explained that I was only asking because the app showed completed and she said cause we mark it that way. When they brought the food out at 9:34, I checked to make sure everything was in the bags. My teenage son specifically asked for a bacon deluxe triple smasher, which I ordered. When checking the order I found that the triple was actually made as a double. I went to the drive-thru window to let them know of the mistake. The young man at the window was nice and he went to let someone else (maybe the lead or manager) know, then he came back and started asking for my receipt like I was making it up. I handed it to him and he took it in to whoever was handling the other side of the issue. He apologized and said to give them a minute they would fix it. 9:45 I was finally handed the triple and left. Of course, thanks to this delay, everything else we ordered was cold, hard and soggy. The Groovy fries had no sauce and were hard. The pretzel was cold and hard. The mozzarella sticks were cold and my son compared it to eating a cheese stick right out of the fridge with coating on it. Burger customizations were not done. One of the burgers had such dark, hard edges where my tooth crunched on it, like eating eggshells. Read moreI have always had pretty good service here, but not today. I went to the drivethrough, and the line was backed up so much I couldn't even pull up to order. I finally got up to the speaker, and I waited. Asked if anyone was there, said hello i would like to order, said hello again. nothing. Cars were getting impatient behind me, so I figured I would pull up to order, but when the car behind me got to the speaker, all of the sudden it worked again. So, I pulled out of line, and drove up to one of the bays. The guy kept saying he couldn't hear me.; I finally had to turn my car off and shout into the speaker as loud as I could... People were staring. I ordered a large popcorn chicken and medium tots. I had to correct the order multiple times. Finally it arrived, and see the picture. This is the most pathetic large and medium I have ever seen. (The broken piece of chicken was from the bottom of the bag). This is what I get for my money? I even confirmed the sizes with the person who brought my food, and he looked in the bag and assured me it was correct. I don't know what is going on there, but the prices keep going up and the service keeps getting more awful.
