My dear hubby drags me into every Mexican restaurant he finds from Georgia to Arizona, so I wasn't thrilled to get here...but that all changed when I walked through the door!! From the smells to the decor to the friendly wait staff, I was smiling before I sat down. The food was perfectly cooked and the flavor, well, I rarely write reviews unless something is really special, and this was way above what I usually find! I ordered Nachos Hawaiian. All the meats (steak, chicken and shrimp) were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection; green peppers, onion, tomato and pineapple also perfect with just the right mix of juicy flavors in the queso without any of the "grease" or "drippiness" you get in most places. Our waiter, Daniel, was funny and friendly (and patient, one must be patient with my grumpy, fussy husband) and very attentive. Along with the food, I loved the colorful and fun furniture! Just as the food was a delight to the pallet, the furniture was a delight to the eyes! Overall a fantastic find! We will be stopping there every time we...
Read moreMy son and I walked to this establishment from a hotel that's near. I ordered a 'Fajita' baked potato, which cost me $10.99!!! I'm not quite Sure What I was Expecting, but what I GOT was a PLAIN BAKED POTATO with a Very SMALL amount of chicken and bacon on it with a Little drizzle of what they Called cheese sauce and some lettuce with a SLICE of tomato on the side!!!!!!!!! I had to ASK for sour cream and butter then was CHARGED EXTRA for the Sour Cream!!!!! And that cost TEN DOLLARS AND NINETY NINE CENTS?!!!?! I Could have gone to walmart and Bought ALL of those makings for Well UNDER FIVE DOLLARS!!!!!! My son had the chimichanga, which was bland at Best and that cost $9.99, but at LEAST that came with Rice and Beans!!! The service was Very Good so we Did make SURE to leave a $4.00 tip on a THIRTY FIVE DOLLAR Bill because after all, the wait staff does Not prepare the food they only serve it. Wouldn't...
Read moreCalled for takeout @815. Ordered 2 chicken fajitas & a small cheese dip with chips. Person who answered seemed annoyed when I asked for an extra side of pico. Said fajitas come with pico, I said I understand but would really like extra pico and lettuce as I don't eat the rice or tortilla. I told him I would happily pay the fee for the extra pico. He sighed and said ok, 2 fajitas & small cheese dip, 15 minutes & hung up. My husband picked it up, got back to hotel & I opened bags of course there was no extra pico or lettuce & the cost was $49!! $49 for 2 chicken fajitas and small cheese dip seems pretty steep to me but... no big deal if it's what you order right. The food was nothing special. It was overpriced and mediocre in my opinion. After a 10 hour drive I was too tired to go back to beg for what I paid for. My suggestion would be don't waste your time...
