Lorenzo's Pizzeria - Lorain — Restaurant in Lorain

From the moment we entered, we were happy. A young girl,Julianna, greeted us at the door by holding it open for my friend and I. She guided us to seat ourselves and was a pleasure to talk to. We were given 3 menus each regular menu along with wine/alcohol list and a lunch menu. We split a small pan pizza done to our preferences. Next time, we'll try the wood fired pizza. Waitress was pleasant, kind, friendly, and helpful. There is still real customer service around, and it's at Lorenzo's pizza. Our pizza arrived looking great and very hot. And then there was silence. After serving each of us a slice, great cheese pull by the way, we took our first bite, and we both just ate in silence with big smiles while shaking our heads with delight. I am serious. This is good pizza. The bottom was lightly crisp, cheese, and toppings tasted fresh. It's been a long time since I had really good pizza. They checked on us and made sure we had what we needed above and beyond. We got cannolis 4 mini w/chocolate chips to go. They were also very good. And a frozen wood fired all American pizza to try later. We will be back but will be trying delivery service also. I live in Elyria and love Lorenzo's in Oberlin. However, it is quite a hike. I was afraid to be disappointed by trying the one in Lorain. However; I will say that this is my new go-to, by far, of any pizza in Elyria or Lorain - especially because the pizza was as great and they have a very nice clean and welcoming dining room and staff. The pizza was piping hot beyond belief and the cheese and toppings actually have flavor compared to chain restaurants. The parking was a bit challenging to understand, as it is limited on the street. However, we found a lot "under surveillance" just a bit up North of the restaurant and down the street to the West. It was a 3 minute walk, if that. Overall,this Lorain Lorenzo's is definitely keeping the Oberlin Lorenzo's fame alive and well. After a glance at the menu- my wife and I already picked out a second trip to try the lasagna or meatball...

Love this place. My husband is a pizza snob. We searched high and low for the best wood fire margarita pizza. Even ventured to Cancun Mexico hoping for the “one”. Can’t say enough good things about when they opened only 10 mins away! We dine here often. It’s small and perfect. Not a lot of dine in seating but the staff is family friendly, and wonderful. Never had an experience we didn’t leave happy! We love the drink menu and dabbled into other options of food but seem to always go back to our faves (Margarita and anything w the homemade vodka sauce * chefs kiss!!💋 *.) The owners, the staff, the food, the vibe I can’t say enough! Love this...
