Sizzler — Restaurant in Los Alamitos

It's been awhile since I've been to a Sizzler and the last time I went was about a year ago and at a different location and it was very disappointing as far as service and quality of food however this location was as good as it could be. And I wish I got the name of my server because she was excellent and if I can find the receipt and it has her name I will definitely come back and edit this to put her name so she gets rewarded for her great service. The food was really good my daughter got the lobster tails and I'll be honest most places whenever she orders lobster tails they're very small overcooked rubbery tasteless nasty and these were so excellent I mean they were just beautiful they look like Gordon Ramsay cook them or something it was great! I got the unlimited soup and salad bar and I was very pleased with it the only thing I could fault them on was that it was dinner time and very busy Place packed everybody in there for dinner and they normally have those lovely crunchy fried chicken wings and they ran out of them and instead of getting more they replace them with chicken nuggets which for me was a huge disappointment. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly the sauces were both very tasty and they give you the option for marinara or meatballs I tried both and they were good you do need to put some salt though if you want the extra kick. My son got the chicken tenders and french fries and they were very nice size chicken tenders cooks very well I got him two meals because they were children's meals and he's a grown man so he ended up with six of them and it was a huge amount of chicken but he actually probably could have got away with just one portion even though it was designed for children it was a lot of food. The salad bar was nice and clean fully stocked and the soups were very good except that people had picked all the meat out of the vegetable beef soup and it was mostly just the veg left but it tasted really good and of course the chicken noodle soup is off the hook as far as I'm concerned it's one of the best chicken noodle soups I have tasted in a restaurant chain. And I will say that the manager and cashier were both extremely friendly and helpful and that was a pleasant surprise as most of my experiences recently have been that the management are cranky and not very friendly so this was nice to see upper management out there helping in just generally friendly and welcoming and I forgot to get his name as well I just wasn't paying that much attention because I was focused...

Free Malibu chicken plate

Owing to my nearest Sizzler in Bellflower being closed for renovation, my quest to redeem my free birthday month Malibu chicken plate led me to the next closest one in Los Alamitos. And, like all Sizzlers, if you've been to one, then you can expect the same at all of them.

And, that's not a bad thing! Consistency is important to some people. Folks like something reliable, an "Ol' Faithful" to them. That's where Sizzler stands in my opinion.

Let's start with the cheese toast. I'm not one to partake of bread that often, but now & again I'll buck the trend. And, this was one of those times. Crusty outside, with a moist center, the toast was highly palatable & a great way to start things off.

Malibu chicken- A simple dish of breaded chicken, smothered with cheese & ham, served with hollandaise sauce. I opted for steamed veggies over fries, as I was going to redeem my free birthday month seasoned fries from Wingstop later. I enjoyed the unpretentiousness of each forkful. Nothing registered on the "Wow" meter, but it was a filling lunch, all the more better being free.

Service was okay. It seemed the attendants were understaffed, as I waited a while for drink refills. Ample seating to easily accommodate large groups.

Parking is in a private lot. Sizzler is across the street from Los Alamitos High School.

Another birthday month coupon down! Sizzler treated me to a nice gift, via their Malibu chicken. Hipster foodies and the like may not get their kicks here, but for those looking for a safe, reliable meal option, may find out why Sizzler has been around...

Great Staff, Awesome Manager, Sweet Waitresses, Flavorful foods, cooked Precisely right. No attitudes( if they do it over) ... as in, a steak etc Great Professiioalism, Good Tableside Attitudes, very kind, very clean,.very attentive, fishes dont pile up... I tried others ,...in area. no thnx, no way. i was treated rudely,... and at yet, another, Sizzler..... My Man was treated like dawg doo doo Pathetic ppl run that one. Unprofessional, and they bussers are TZhieves!!! i called this location, is the best, by far!!!!!
