Overall: they gave me 6 oz of coffee for a 12 oz order. Will not be returning and I’d caution others in visiting.
Location: corner shop, near the post office. It's at the same plaza as a dance studio and nail salon. Parking in rear.
Menu: coffee, tea, food, hot/cold. Saw some bakery goods and bagels.
Experience: it looks nice inside, lots of seating for a coffee shop. There's some goods for sale on the side, like mugs and stickers for sale.
Unfortunately, overall, I had a bad experience ): I ordered the macchiato (only comes in 12 oz), and when she asked if I wanted oat milk, I said "whole milk" but they gave me the oat milk anyway. The screen did not read "oat milk" so I assumed it was tax that I was seeing. My fault was that I didn't look at my printed receipt which did say oat milk. It was also kinda hard to hear when the order came out too.
When I got my cup... it was half empty. I had a very hard time accepting this was 12 oz but I let it go because I wasn’t sure (I don’t order drinks out too often) and this was For $5? Idk. Went home to scale it and sure enough, barely 6 oz. Makes sense because the cup was filled halfway. See picture when I brought it out to my car to check.
Maybe this was a fluke.. but that is a major discrepancy. It tasted nice but I think it was a bit too light on the coffee flavor.
My brother in law got the funky monkey. It was heavy on the peanut butter. It was nice too, but when we got home, he added more coffee because it was...
Read moreI have to say, I’m a sucker for local coffee shops. They always have that unique charm that you just can’t find at the big chain places. Local Grind is a gem in a sea of corporate coffee joints. It’s a rare find in my area, where coffee shops seem to come and go faster than a Spirit Halloween store.
Located conveniently across the street from our hotel, Fairfield Inn, Local Grind was the perfect spot for our morning coffee fix. We ordered a hot chocolate, the OG funky monkey, a Mocha, and a Sunrise. Each drink had its own special flavor that set it apart from the rest.
The staff was incredibly friendly and quick to whip up our drinks. They even took the time to ask if we had any questions about the menu. Plus, they use nugget ice, which is a personal favorite of mine. I even have the same ice maker at home!
I was pleasantly surprised to find a little store area inside the shop. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any men’s shirts for sale. I would have loved to grab one for myself and the boys, but I don’t think a half shirt would be very flattering on me.
If you’re looking to avoid the major coffee chains and support a local business, I highly recommend stopping by Local Grind. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious cup of coffee with a side of...
Read moreThe place was quiet and clean, really spacious. Lots of places to work which i did. I ordered a croissant sandwich which was really good but every single thing you can add to the list costed something so I ended up paying $12 for an egg croissant but it was still really good. I also ordered a rose matcha latte and this is where I had to dock it a star. It was disgusting. The actual matcha isn't fresh, they use a premixed blend which was disappointing (and their chai latte uses a powder?? So i took my chances with the premixed matcha) but the rose syrup they use quite literally made me throw my drink away. It was horrible, and synthetic tasting, and I've had rose syrups before but man. But the staff working was really nice and they have a few merchandise for sale so I got myself a few stickers. Really disappointed with my drink, but maybe it would've tasted fine without that rose syrup? I'll honestly go again just for that...
