1st time visiting this place, I really didn't know what to order, so I went for a plate that offered a little bit of everything (Antojitos Amalia's) the plate offer a veriety of things like garnacha, tostadas, taquitos, planos fritos, 1 chuchito and a tamal de chipilin. Food wise for the price it was a large amount of food I got to share my plate with someone else however this is a sider plate the portions are small the garnacha were literally small fried tortillas w ground meat which wasn't too favor full. The chuchito and tamal de chipilin were a bit dry for my taste, and the plantains looked as a ball of plantains opposed to separate pieces. We went on a Friday night, so it was a bit crowded. The service was a bit slow, BUT the servers were nice and attentive as much as the situation allowed. The atmosphere was great as they had a live group playing marimba (an authentic Guatemalan instrument). The group was nice and...
Read moreIt was good, this was basically the service I had this day I went with my family. Parking was easy to get, they are located inside a plaza where a parking space was easy to find. Food was delicious, if you are craving Guatemalan delicacies this is the place to go. We got the Amelia's platter which had a variety of dishes and this other one with different meats. Taste wise I like it, atmosphere was fun until the mariachi which was the entertainment left. The reason why I left unsatisfied was because they had ran out of soda, c'mon soda which is free refills basically it was coming out flat so they werent serving any. We were force to get 'agua frescas' which cost 3 dollars everytime you wanted a refill. Also our server wasnt really attentive or helpful, tortillas were brought cold and rarely if any he came around our table to check if we needed anything. To finish it off Food was good, atmosphere ok, but...
Read moreIf you want authentic Guatemalan food with good service do not come here. I came with my dad and when we first entered no one was at the door . We had to wait a while for someone to come and seat us. We sat down and had to wait more for someone to take down our drinks. The menus they gave us were dirty and when my dad asked for milk for his coffee the servers forgot about it until he asked again. It took way too long to get our food and it wasn't worth it. There wasn't even a lot of people and The wait time was too much. The eggs had no flavor and the frijoles were too salty/oily. The pollo en crema was also really salty I couldn't finish it. The prices for this food is not worth it This has been a disappointing experience and we won't be coming back. A better place with better food and service is Mi Cocinita Chapina or the...
