I just dined here tonight, I had the grilled Halibut over polenta with vegetables and heirloom cherry tomatoes, first off while the meal had a beautiful presentation, and the fish had a lovely seasoning and while it was grilled at some point, it was definitely reheated and serve hot and dried out, the polenta, was not polenta but instead a bed of cheesy flavorless hominy grits, while some may not know the difference they are made from two different types of ingredients and regardless I do love grits too, however these were flavorless. Added to this mess was a few stalks of greens mostly stems and carrots with brown tops, added in were a sprinkling of cherry tomatoes that had an almost rotten aftertaste. While the server was very pleasant and polite, she appeared to be the only one there with 15-20 tables and didn’t even ask if there was anything wrong when I completed my meal with half the dish picked through but uneaten as I did search through the fish fillet for anything semi moist enough to eat. I left paying $90+ for an unsatisfying meal with pleasant but harried service. Next time I pass through the Hilton LAX I just get a $50 burger from the bar because while also overpriced, it’s at least a palatable alternative. Lesson learned and hopefully they close that atrocious restaurant and server ties with any executive chef that could possibly let something while pretty but so horribly wrong leave...

We topped it off with dessert with was Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. It was not too sweet and had the right amount of tartness. Overall, a great and unexpected meal at a...
Read moreAndiamo at the Hilton LAX is a good spot if you’re craving a well-cooked steak without leaving the hotel. I ordered the ribeye, which was perfectly medium rare—tender, with a light seasoning that let the meat speak for itself. It’s not a loaded plate, so don’t expect sides that’ll steal the show, but the steak? No complaints.
Service was super friendly, though it took a bit longer than expected to get seated and have someone check in. Once things got rolling, though, it was smooth sailing. If you’ve got the time and want a decent steak without leaving the hotel, Andiamo is...
