Also the minestrone soup, and on Fridays the clam chowder soup, made in the back kitchen, the long lines of loyal customers waiting patiently, in lines outside the patio, garlic bread, and food smelling delicious as you could hardly wait in line to get in to eat. Waiting to go inside the glass door head down the line to the counter to pick up grab a tray request ur dish grab your silverware, napkins, soda, wine, beer, water etc. My favorite was soda minstronesoup, salad, lasagna, garlic bread, on tuesday, was lamb shank. Back then they did not have it now they do a gelato stand delicious ice cream. I still make time to eat here good food and a hell of a lot of good times family, friends, some great memories, shared seen and spent here over the years, even some actors ate here from time to time threw out the years. Wish I had my cell phone now for back then when I sat across Gene Hackman, and a lot of other celebs then that would visit and eat at Andre's. Until Andre's opened there other new restaurant in beverly hills and they all went there. After all its Hollywood fancy glitz and glamor rat pack style good ol times. I here Andre's has new owner but I'm told the original owner one of the brothers still runs the register and front of house and when they sold it kept all of there employees and loyal staff members along with it. One Very Smart Choice. Just glad to hear still open and running strong. If I am not mistaken, I think Andre's opened there doors and have been serving pizza and dishes since 1963. Enjoy this spot. Never thought I would ever do a review on a place that had a lot of good memories as a kid growing up over the years, and still would be open today. Just goes to show good owner great food, friendly staff, loyal customers, word of mouth goes a very long way. That is simply awsome. Thank you. Andre's for all the good meals and friendly service always over the years. Dedicated to my (Nonna) Miss...
Read moreI’ve been going to Andre’s for years they were located at 3rd St. and then they moved to this new location at Wilshire, and this is the first time I’ve had a bad experience with the service. To put it shortly, the service has gone down, in addition to the quality of the food, since they moved to Wilshire. I ordered to go from this place tonight and it wasn’t very busy in the beginning and then it became busy for dinner time. My order took so long to be made (before my order would not take more than an hour and the staff was very efficient and friendly), but this time around it did take much longer than usual and the crew was very slow and unfriendly. The Hispanic guy in the cashier area would take the orders of those who speaks Spanish first and he would speak Spanish to them throughout, while the rest of us non-Hispanics wait. He would also let them cut in line for things like extra bread, etc. He was busy taking care of them while the pizzas that I ordered were sitting on top of the oven (they were already done a while ago), I asked him about my order and he said that the other guy is working on it, in the meantime I was getting upset with the long wait, then this Hispanic lady told me to calm down, which made me more upset, and I told her to shut up, and we were going back and forth yelling at each other (I wasn’t even talking to her and she minded my business). Long story short I will never go back to this place again, because the staff does not treat their customers fairly, esp when their bosses are not around (I know their bosses from the years I’ve been going to 3rd St.) and it’s such a shame that this business that I’ve been frequented often before has...

Been coming here for over 15 years. A classic Italian restaurant with delicious large entrees for a reasonable price. Come here for lunch or dinner and you won't be disappointed. There are plenty of places to sit (indoor and outdoor) and if you need help, they have a friendly staff to aid you.
I usually get a large spaghetti, a salad and garlic bread. The salad is discounted to $1 if you get a large entree and every entree gets a garlic bread for free. Any additional bread is $0.25. You can get a half and half (spaghetti and ravioli) if you crave that. They're known for their meat sauce so make sure you try it. Huge portions, which you can of course get it togo-ed. Also they have a nice beverage where you can get authentic Cola with cane sugar.
When you're done eating, you can leave your plates and trays on the table, they usually have someone come around and pick it up. Tipping is not required.
Their chicken is alright and their rice is okay. Their pizza is pretty darn good too so if you're not feeling pasta go for the pizza!
TL;DR: (Small/Large) Spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and garlic bread. No tipping required. They clean up after you. Cash only. ~$20/2 people
Advice: Pretty popular spot so the lines may get long, but shouldn't be longer than 30 minutes to get your food - get here...
