A Moment That Changed My Life , Through a Simple Act of Kindness
Iâve never written a review before, truthfully, Iâm not much of a social media person. But this experience left such a deep impact on me that I felt compelled to share it.
Last week, I placed a mobile order at this location: a bagel with eggs and sausage. When I arrived to pick it up, I suddenly realized I forgot to add a second iced coffee to the order. I asked one of the staff members if I could purchase an extra coffee on the spot, and without hesitation, he handed it to me, completely free of charge.
I was stunned. Not just because I got a free coffee, but because of the sincerity and warmth behind the gesture. In todayâs world, small acts like that are rare. It reminded me of something my grandfather, who Iâve always called my King, used to say: âMoney doesnât make you rich. Attitude does. And if someone gives you a cup of coffee or tea, it means they have a pure heart.â
As it turns out, the man who handed me that coffee was the owner himself. We ended up talking for about seven minutes, and in that short time, I could feel the genuine kindness, passion, and integrity he puts into his business. He wasnât just serving food, he was building community, one small moment at a time.
Hereâs the twist: that forgotten iced coffee wasnât even for me. It was for the person interviewing me that same morning, for an internship Iâve been hoping for years to get. That cup of coffee helped break the ice and set the tone⌠and yes, I got the internship.
Let that sink in: One simple, generous act led to a major turning point in my life. A cup of coffee became a key that opened a door to my future.
To the owner and the team: Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You didnât just hand me a drink, you gave me a moment Iâll never forget. Your kindness rippled into something far greater than you probably imagined.
The food is delicious, the bagels are fresh, and the service is unmatched. If youâre ever in the area (or near their other location in West Hollywood, CA), do yourself a favor and stop by. Youâre not just supporting a business, youâre walking into a space full of heart.
Thank you, Boss. đ Your energy reminded me that good people still exist, and that one kind decision can change the course of...
Read moreThis place is ONLY for PRE-ORDERS pickups! I stopped by after coming across this place on Google maps while in the area. This very small spot with double doors that lead to a warehouse-looking room, and a small order-pickup window. You really can't go inside. And the worker, who was in the back of the building, must have heard or saw me opening the door, came out to ask me if I was picking up an order. I was confused about the unusual setup and demeanor of the employee at that point, so I asked if I could order something. He asked if it was for now and I said "yeah". He gives me a website where I can order from, in an annoyed manner. I stand outside trying to order online and a few minutes later he comes to the window to let me know that they can't accommodate any other orders for that day and explains to me that it's only for catering/pre-orders. I don't know why he couldn't have said that from the get-go. It's such an unusual business. I wish it would be more clear on Google maps that they're not a walk-in restaurant and that they had some kind of information regarding their mode of operation...
Read moreI order breakfast here for our office every single week. I think weâve been ordering from here for years. We get bagels, fruit, yogurt bar, muffins, coffee and fresh squeezed oj - and every week itâs a smash. If weâre feeling fancy we get their bagel breakfast sandwiches which are delish, and customizable for all dietary restrictions. I can honestly rely on bagel broker to work with me and deliver my order on time, every time. They use their own delivery drivers and you have no idea how refreshing it is not having to deal with third party deliveries. I can place a big order the night before and they will have on my doorstep the next morning....
