My favorite is the Birria Fries, which are asada fries but with birria, so it is cheese, pico de gallo, and the meat (Birria). The fries are nice and crispy, not too soft, not too crisp, just enough to not be soggy or chewy. The birria is tender and flavorful with aromatic spices and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture with every bite. I love the fact that they dont just pour nacho cheese like many places do. They actually use real cheese that is beautifully melted, transforming into a gooey, adhesive layer that binds everything together. Don't forget to ask for their homemade salsa, the red one sheeeesh, I feel in Mexican dishes the salsa either makes or breaks the dish, and this one compliments the dish beautifully making it the amazing meal it is. I highly recommend eating here. I love just about everything I've tried so far. Trust me, I've been a loyal customer since shortly after this restaurant first opened and have continued to return regularly. Fire 🔥 Mexican food, if you dont try it, you are truly missing out,...
Read moreI got turned on to birria on a trip from Guadalajara to Leon. When I returned to Los Angeles, my quest began to find a place that rivaled the taste I experienced in Mexico. My son happened on Birrieria Familia Castro while doing an online search. To our luck, the restaurant happens to be really near our new home.
One taste and our entire family is hooked on BFC! Family owned and operated, not only is the food incredible, but the folks who work there are among the nicest you'll find anywhere.
If you're looking for a great meal and a restaurant that specializes in birria, run, don't walk, right on over to BFC. And if you haven't tried birria, you owe it to your taste buds! You'll find plenty of street parking, and a family ready to serve you up one of the best meals in...
