Vicki’s Place — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I've been meaning to try this new place in my neighborhood, so I stopped by yesterday after work. I asked for recommendations from the friendly owners, and ended up with beef stew and 2 pupusas. The beef stew was flavorful, hearty and came with rice and some spicy slaw; it was enough to last 2-3 meals. I tried the spinach and shrimp pupusas, and I gotta say, they're the best pupusas I've ever tried! So DELICIOUS! I am looking forward to trying dishes and pupusas soon! I came here for lunch and it was my very first time eating here. I just got over being sick and I really needed a caldo(soup). I ordered a caldo de gallina with an horchata. Everything was so fresh and very tasty. One thing I was very impress is with the service. The waitress that helped with was so polite and patient. She made suggestions about their menu. I absolutely will never come here again, be careful when paying as they will overcharge you. I ordered 5 cheese pupusas and a small tamarindo drink, I was charged $50.42 that is insane, menu clearly shows the price of pupusas and I was charged $7.50 per pupusa and $6 for a small drink, the rest was tax.
