Bluestone Lane Studio City Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Los Angeles

It’s a great spot to have a coffee and small bite to eat. Their coffee is great quality, all home made in-house blends , and great pastries. I usually will get a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant. I love that on their cappuccino they put a little bit of cacao sprinkled on the foam, and their coffee is delicious. I am Italian so coffee has to be good for me to like it and I give this a 8.4. I also love their bambiccino, which is just warm milk frothed up a bit with cacao sprinkled on top. Something for the kids , but I’m a big kid I guess! I use the extra foam for my cappuccino since I love extra foam and they do a pretty good job. They also have toasts you can order if you’re in the mood for something more then a pastry. Their avocado or banana toast are my favorites. Simple avocado toast the classic way , or the banana toast is on the sweet side with almond butter bananas and some honey and cinnamon sprinkled on top. They also have a few other kinds on the salty side. Only downside is whenever I do order to go , it’s a hit or miss. Sometimes it will be on point and other times some things are missing or it just will have a small error.! Regardless this is a great coffee shop and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in studio city!

This time I happened to get it to-go and I see my cappuccino had no milk frothed on top (thankful I got the bambiccino so I can put some on top) but sadly they didn’t make it nice like they usually do. Still a good coffee 🤷‍♂️ I guess they were out of the chocolate croissant so they gave me a cookie and an almo’d croissant instead. Which that was nice an extra cookie , but wish I had the chocolate croissant! Just shows that it is a great pastry and they make the chocolate croissant wonderfully..With a touch of dark chocolate 👌 To summarize the restaurant , great spot to go to with friends for quick coffee / bite to eat / take a walk...

An update: My favorite team is back! Happy to see them and feel as good as always at the place :)

This review is mostly for the owners of the place. I’ve been coming to this coffee shop for years. It’s not only the food that works for me here but the staff! The most friendly, genuine and talkative young people! The team does make a difference and I’d always make a note how welcoming the environment is thanks to the people who work here. Today, July the 24th, I had a totally different experience. It started from a very “specific “ music that is not for everyone for sure. Then, the unfriendly woman who what the only staff members today. I’ve never seen her before and I won’t be happy to be around her again. She wasn’t welcoming. She was creating a lot of, I mean a lot of noise moving dishes and equipment around, dropping utensils to the sink etc. as she was in her own kitchen alone, not a cool coffee shop where people come to relax and catch a breath.

Normally the tables outside stay till almost closing and the door is open. She brought everything inside and closed the door 20 min before closing. I was sitting inside and saw people coming to the door and leaving, thinking that the place is closed.

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the cheerful smiles of the staff. But what truly set this visit apart was the outstanding service provided by John and Drake, who deserve a special shoutout.

Drake & John were incredibly welcoming, making recommendations with genuine enthusiasm and taking the time to explain their menu. Their passion for coffee was infectious, and suggestions led me to try their amazing protein smoothies (not a huge coffee guy). It’s rare to find people who combine such deep knowledge with a warm, personable demeanor. It became clear during my wait that I was not the only one that had such a fantastic experience with them.

The ambiance of the shop, and cozy seating, paired perfectly with the exemplary service. It’s clear that John and Drake genuinely care about creating memorable experiences for their customers.
