Ok so it is most definitely not authentic Vietnamese Pho it lacks some key flavors. The thing is Korean cuisine when you lack flavor you add sugar. The broth is much too sweet. I got a combination pho and after getting over the sweetness I added Sriracha and chilies. Honestly it could pass for ok pho without the added sweetness. The broth was for the most part very clean strong taste of anise. Not bad if you had other aromatics needed in good pho. I dread to think how the oxtail would taste. Better to head to Pho So 1 or Pho 999 if open. Sadly at the end my mouth was dry from all the sugar. Wouldn't be surprised if it had a bunch of salt too. The sugar was just so over powering. That said if you need a pho fix this is for those who can get duped by sugar and salt not the authentic aromatic flavor of great pho. Otherwise this will leave you lacking. Might as well head to Kyushu Ramen instead for authentic ramen. I would stay away from the pho. Other...
Read moreJust came after a very expectant pho dinner that turned out to be a complete dud! We ordered vegan pho and summer roll. The fried onion in the center of the summer roll was a nice touch. Overall the summer roll was a 3/5. The peanut sauce left a lot to be desired (2/5). It was very underwhelming in taste.
The star (or not!) was the vegan pho. It was a huge bowl. It had green beans in it which seemed interesting before the first sip. The first sip of the vegan broth after giving it the customary sit in to soak up the veggie flavors gave a distinctly unpleasant flavor. At first I complained it tasted fishy. A couple more reluctant sips later, it was just revolting. The final straw was the first bite into a cauliflower and the foul taste just amplified. I returned my whole bowl right away (paid for it too)! I am never returning here...
Read moreIf I could do a 0 star review I would. Ive never rated a restaurant 1 star or left a bad review until today. HORRIBLE service, bad food, bad review. Gratuity was included, no wonder they didnt even try to clean up our table or take empty dishes. We kindly asked a server if he could please clean up our table because it was full of unnecessary plates and he REFUSED to and insisted that we kept all types of trash and dirty dishes on our table. My little brother ordered a tea. The plastic on the cup was so hard to rip open, he accidentally spilled it and the server instead of cleaning it up, gave my little brother a dirty stinky rag so he could clean it up himself. We will never come back here! To top it off, the food was cheap, felt like it was reheated many times, it was nasty. Overall, if youre looking for a good late night pho, this is...
