The flavors are good but they over cook the sausages and meatballs, talking to the waitress I found out that they leave the meats cooking all day. If you don’t know Italian or food you don’t know. But this is a bad habit in the restaurants part. This is the reason I don’t eat in Sylmar, Most places Underestimate clients taste. The waitress said Oh the pink sauce is the best try it. What is a pink Sauce? Is it a tomato cream sauce? Well it does not matter. The place is not bad but how do you screw up the meats? Also try ordering a margarita Pizza and they don’t know what that is. Make food like your selling it in The westside. You guys are almost there and know better. I understand most peoples taste buds are not very sophisticated but you know you’re not supposed to cook meat all day and serve it to Unsuspecting clients. Not trying to be negative but please you know better and you can do better I want something that I can feel proud of in Sylmar not just someplace that sells so so food.

This place was a huge part of my childhood. I remember standing at the window that once allowed you to watch the cooks make your pizzas. This place has gone through an amazing upgrade. As for the food, it’s as amazing as I remember! My friends and I went with the family of four. You have your choice of soup or salad. I went with salad with blue cheese. We got their habit-forming garlic bread, pizza (half pepperoni and mushrooms and half pepperoni and jalapeƱos). We also each got our own plate with eggplant Parmesan and spaghetti with marinara. Each bite took me back to all those family meals there. I can’t wait to go back!

I grew up in Sylmar and discovered Caruso's while at CSUN. My very favorite pizza until I move away in 1998. I've lived in two states since and traveled the country, and it really, really all comes back to the basics....a Sicilian Style Pepperoni. Straightforward, nothing complicated. Great sauce with a touch of heat and the best greasy, cheesy pile of goodness atop a chewy and yummy crust. I don't miss California, but I"ll ALWAYS miss Caruso's.

I'm not easy to please..not easy for me to say nice things about places, but this place and the food and the calm atmosphere hit me in my weak spot..I tell it like I taste it !! No faking. false. Misleading reviews...dont care if my mom or Gramma.or wife own it!! If it's bad then my audience will know..but if its unbelievable.beatiful. I've given this place two tries and both times I've been disappointed. The first time, I ordered their eggplant parmesan with spaghetti. I specifically told them I am vegetarian and don't want any meat sauce, they said "no problem we'll sub with our red sauce", but they didn't so I took my order home not knowing and had to drive back in order to get my order re-done. The eggplant parmesan was delicious, but the spaghetti was ok. The second time, I ordered a cheese pizza with their house salad. The pizza had way too much cheese (I did not order extra cheese) that it was so greasy that it made the crust soggy. Also, the salad had a cup of water in the container because I guess they don't know how to drain Lettuce. On top of that, their service at this location is mediocre. Every time I've come in, they haven't given care in the world to try and...
