Best Italian meal since we left Italy!!! Authentic food, pasta cooked to perfection, generous portions & adorable ambiance.
This place is so much better than Capo, Felix, Via Veneto which we have been to many times. These are all family recipes passed down generations.
We came for DineLA which was a fantastic deal at $59 for 4 courses. Two of the four courses were topped with truffle and this restaurant serves the most generous portions of truffle Iâve seen! Itâs a steal!
$59 Dinner Menu: _Crostini Burata e Tartufo - simple, elegant, packed with flavor. Perfect way to start the meal.
_Tagliolini al Tartufo - hands down my favorite dish. Comparable to Spagoâs white truffle pasta at $130 - no joke.
_ New York Steak, Arugula, Shaved goat cheese & 12 year aged balsamic - perfectly cooked, tender, Iâm gonna top my steaks with balsamic at home. Itâs amazing.
_ Dessert profiteroles - not too sweet, crispy & filled with luscious cream and Italian candies.
_ $18 Tagliatelle Verdi al Ragu (Bolognese) added this to share and for 2 people it was a ton of food. This dish is their Grandmothers recipe. One of my favorites!
Best, friendly service by Nico. He knows his food and wine. He recommended a fantastic wine Reasonable prices for Wine at $8 & $10 for our Super Tuscan & Negramaro.
Dog friendly patio & Nico our Server even asked if our pup needed water. Doesnât happen all of the time and I really appreciate when they ask.
The Marketplace is filled with authentic Italian pastas, sauces, olive oils, balsamic vinegar and the like. We bought a jar of house made minced white truffles. Nico says to scoop one spoon over each serving of pasta & a spoon of pasta water and thatâs it - perfect pasta dish. Canât wait.
Casa Modena is now one of favorite...
Read moreI don't write a lot of reviews unless it is something really worth mentioning. I used to live in Italy on 2 occasions when I was younger and when returning to the US, have been disappointed constantly in trying to find a place truly authentic. The reviews of Casa Modena were promising and I walked 15mins from my hotel to check it out. I can say that this place is well worth your time if you would like an authentic italian experience. The prices are appropriate for what you are getting but this is not fast food and it is not a chain italian restaurant. If you are looking for a proper Italian dinner with wine and multiple courses, expect to spend $50+ per person. If you are only looking for some quick pasta or something, there are several options under $20 all worth the price. It has been some time that I was able to go into an italian restaurant, speak italian (even poorly), get good food, have an authentic experience, and be satisfied with money well spent. I wish they had pizzas but other than that, great place. One extra note, when I went on a Wednesday evening, the tables were staffed by 2 servers who alternate attention to the tables. I did not find this troubling or problematic. It seemed appropriate for the volume in the restaurant, and did not sacrifice service. It will not be the same chatty server experience found elsewhere which I feel is typical for the cuisine and probably...
   Read moreVery cute Italian restaurant.
I like the portion sizes but it is expensive for what you get.
Theyâll ask you if you want sparkling or still water. I thought still was tap but itâs just non-sparkling bottled water. So if you donât wanna pay 5$ for imported Italian bottled water, ask for tap. That being said it was pretty good water lol.
We got the bruschetta, penne arrabiata (meat free, spicy đ), fussiloni alls salsiccia tallegio and salmon.
I felt the salmon was a little over cooked/chewy however the sauce it came in was very good. It came w mashed potatoes but photos online showed veggies. I would have preferred the veggies but the potatoes were good. Some ppl mightâve preferred it more smooth but I liked it how it was.
I didnât try the fussiloni dish but my husband said it tasted âmusky.â He knows that sounds âbadâ but he really enjoyed it but didnât have another word to describe it.
Bruschetta (4 slices of bread) was good but bc we also got free bread after our appetizer , I wish they wouldâve just added more bruschetta topping to the free bread slices (4) since the price for 4 small bruschetta slices was a lot (13$)
Really enjoyed the ambience. Very cute and eclectic inside.
Reviews kept saying the restaurant is always empty but when we went, there was one other family there and during our dinner, two more parties arrived. The restaurant isnât huge so 4 parties seemed...
