Los Virtuality - Virtual Reality Gaming Center — Attraction in Los Angeles

Visited this location with 7 of my friends for my own bachelor party booked at 7 PM on 2/18/2023. It's a well reviewed establishment and there was no reason to think our experience would be dissatisfactory, however I regretfully say that it was a complete failure. Four of our party members experienced some form of technical difficulty including myself. The batteries were changed out of controller, controllers had to be swapped out, game took forever to load or had to be restarted, there was phantom motion off in the headset in which your virtual self randomly drifted to one direction, virtual avatars were unable to move or walk within the game. Forty minutes had passed with 4 of us not playing the game without persistent technical issues and we decided to cut our losses for the night. The whole point was to be able to enjoy an experience together, but when multiple people can't play the game or have to stop because of headache/nausea caused by equipment failures, I don't feel as though we were able to consume the product as advertised. The staff have a difficult job when there are multiple technical difficulties and I empathize with that. I have called and requested a refund. Let me start by saying, the website makes it easy to book parties and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I needed a place to have my bachelor party, which my 10 and 14 year old sons were going to attend. The staff was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. I was nervous because part of my group was running late and I thought it was going to impact our time, but they hooked in my youngest to play fruit ninja while we waited and didn't start the timer until we were all there and plugged in. The games were great and there was a large variety. We played 3 different ones (a shooter, Dodgeball, and a bow and arrow tower defense) in the one hour time we had reserved for a group of 10 (only 6 could make it). They knew a lot about the games and made it easy to pick which ones we wanted to play to make the best of our time. They have a BYOB policy on snacks and drinks and it's no problem so long as you follow the rules and you don't get "too roudy". Not a problem for our group. I’ve come by here a few times. First time I was just curious about VR and decided to try It out alone and wow it was such a cool experience. Not just using VR alone but the whole process of booking my time and the interactions with employees. They were so attentive and really made my solo experience worthwhile. They also took their time in showing me how to play and they had so many games to choose from. Because of that, I came back a few times since then. I’ve also brought friends and family. They even have games for kids so it can really be a great outing for a family without breaking the bank. A friend of mine hired them for an event at their home and the Los Virtuality team brought the whole VR set up to the event! I didn’t even know that was possible! But it was a huge hit at their son’s birthday party so I recommend them for events too! All in all, VR is a ton of fun and this business really went above and beyond for me and all the people I‘ve brought with me.
