BE WARNED this club takes advantage of young intoxicated people! While the atmosphere and music was fun, when the night was winding down, me and my friends needed some water. We went to the bar where they handed us a can of "Monster Energy Water". I looked at it and said no, we just want water. They insisted that this is water and that we should pay for it. As it was really loud and busy in there, I decided not to make a fuss so I paid for it -- nearly $7 per can of WATER! My other friend (who was not drinking that night) kept insisting for normal water and they eventually gave in and gave him just a cup of water. Which goes to show that they CAN give you a cup of water, but choose not to in order to squeeze every penny out of people who don't understand any better in the moment.
I can overlook drinks being overpriced as that is the norm everywhere now, but insisting you pay for water is a new low I have never experienced anywhere else. They are placing their bets on people being too intoxicated to care. I understand LA is a high cost of living place, but water should be FREE at EVERY place where there are people consuming alcohol, PERIOD. It's a part of simple courtesy and SAFETY. I am especially disappointed because our bartender was so acting so nice to us and I was happily tipping, then hit us with this ridiculous "Monster Water".
More weird stuff we had to deal with: They oversold an event and made us wait outside the venue for an hour despite the fact that we bought tickets in advance "Snow" in the bathroom-- not surprising but based on other reviews it seems like security doesn't care about drug usage that could be a liability if someone ends up getting hurt in one...
Read moreIt was fun until I couldn’t breathe very well from all the chemicals from the smoke machines and they wouldn’t let me go anywhere that there was fresh air. I’ve been there several times for different events, and always had a great time, and never really had a problem breathing. I got tickets for the Spirit Halloween event because I liked the venue and thought it would be fun. The DJ’s were decent, and was having a great time, but they just kept pumping smoke through the smoke machines and started to get really heavy with fake smoke. We went to the outdoor smoking section to try to get away from it and get some fresh air, but there were a bunch of people smoking cigarettes out there, and it was still hard to breathe. We went to the only other place where you could get fresh air, which was the front entrance, and asked if we could just go to the sidewalk (even right where they could see us) and get some fresh air. They said if we went there they couldn’t let us back in. We tried to go into the room next to the entrance, and our $30 tickets wouldn’t allow us to go in there either. We tried to go back up and dance, but we were literally getting sick from the fumes, so we had to leave. This event is a health issue. Hopefully nobody will get sick going to it, and not being allowed to go anywhere with breathable air. Definitely a Halloween money grab with 3 other events at the same venue and restricted places you can go. I’ll come here when bands I love perform, but I think I’ll pass on anything else...
Read moreWould it recommend coming here for your disabled. Not only did I try to reach out days before the scheduled event to clear my service dog with the venue and I received no answer, But once I got to the venue I was told to speak with the manager which I was fine with doing (this isn't my first time attending events like this with my service dog). He was the rudest man I've ever had the misfortune of interacting with. He denied me access because and I quote "he needs to have paperwork". Yes that scam "paperwork" that you can buy on Amazon for $5. When I tried to explain that by law service animals are not required any paperwork he went on to claim that he had a service dog of his own and his had paperwork (assumingly bought off some website) and went as far to claim that he "knew the law" which is utter horseshit. When I pulled up the official ADA government site and showed him the EXACT wording again stating that service animals are not required any paperwork or any official training program BY LAW he said he blatantly refused to read it and went about smoking. I'll attach the screenshots from the official site in case he sees this. But hey bud, if you never learned how to read just say that and leave it at that. Anyways, never coming back here and I suggest those in the disabled community don't either. They're better clubs and bigger scale raves out there that are far more accommodating...
