[Edit: I made this review 10 months ago, but I had to change a few things. Most of the 1 star reviews were deleted, so this entire thing aged poorly. I'm still keeping this review up, though.] Remember the days when this place used to be "The Angry Chicken"? Remember way back when this place was called "Teriyaki Burger" before it was changed to "Angry Chicken"? This place used to be a Teriyaki Burger restaurant back in 2008 but it was closed down and changed to Angry Chicken in 2017. For almost 9 years it was the same Teriyaki Burger place. When this was changed to Angry Chicken back in 2017, it only lasted 3/4 years up until 2021 when the place was changed once again to The Corner Slice. Many people were angry that Angry Chicken was closed down. (pun) People were complaining that it was changed to The Corner Slice. Stop complaining that you lost 2 of your favorite restaurants. You sometimes have to move on. Things don't last forever, and sometimes businesses run out of money and can't keep going. You can't just send a 1 star review because there is a new owner, it's unfair. Get over it. Just move on.

Gave this shop two tries but only grew more deeply disappointed with each bite. Ordered a whole combo pizza in advance and I drove up right on time. I was the only customer and only order at the time (5:30pm) but they still had me wait another 10 minutes. Overall the combo looked like a 5 year old put this pizza together. 0/10 for aesthetic. Only good thing I can say about this place is the pricing. 1) Onion, tomato, and bell pepper slices were too large and not cut evenly 2) End of crust was burnt to a crisp 3) Pizza was cut into 6 slices with varying sizes. Would have been better off with 8 slices for this medium size 4) Not enough cheese and bland sauce. Kept reaching for the parmesan and pepper packets Better off checking out the better pizza joint a mile down the road in West Adams.

This pizza is nowhere near New York style—it’s more of a mediocre California version. If you’ve never had truly good pizza, you might think it’s decent, but anyone with experience will know better. I had multiple issues with the pie, starting with the fact that they don’t even seal the delivery box, which is a basic standard. Overall, very disappointing.

A small pizza shop serving big, delicious New York style pies. It's right on the corner + the parking is in the back. Street parking too. They make medium-thin crusted pizzas, perfectly baked to be crispy/chewy that pizza should be. They are generous with toppings so create your favorite or order one of their specialty pizzas. I got the Meat Lovers one with pepperoni, Italian sausage + shaved ham + it just melted in your mouth with flavor. My BF loved it. I also ordered a cheese pizza with garlic + fresh basil which was so good! The fresh basil was amazing on it. They lay on the sauce + cheese nicely too, no skimping here. They offer all the usual toppings plus include Parmesan cheese + hot pepper for take-outs. Couple tables inside and nice patio with tables outside. Friendly service too! I also like how their Large pizza is actually large! So many places have shrunk their pizza sizes so that a Large is really medium-sized now most everywhere else, which is not fair. THIS place has true old school pizzas at reasonable prices that are...
