Wow!! Walking into Delicious Pizza, I felt a vibe. They had me at the music and the Hip Hop Ledgend wall. The hold events at this location, they have a huge patio area and a hidden event space in the back. Who knew?!?!
We were greeted by Monica and Miguel and with energy and smiles. They both offered history about the restaurant and encouraged us to experience happy hour and brunch, of which we will try very soon.
No on to the good stuff. The pizza, yeeees!! The Barry White is what we chose. Cheese and more cheese with one half full of pepperoni with crispy edges and full of sauce (my personal fav). Thin sliced pizza with plenty of flavor for your pallet. Delicious is the perfect description! We also enjoyed bread pudding and cinnamon rolls. Oh, and the hot chocolate is full of rich chocolate flavor that made me want to curl up with a blanket. I'm telling you, if you haven't tried, just do it now. We are going back to hold an event in one of their spaces soon. We can't wait!

Read moreSince it's the Fourth of July weekend, I wanted to order out one more time before all food places close to celebrate Independence Day. I went with a Build Your Own Pizza and an Olive Oil Cake.
I ordered a small vegan cheese, spinach, and arugula pizza. I finished it off in one day and I honestly preferred the warmed-up toaster oven version to the version that arrived to my house. I don't live too far, but the crust tasted severely better when crisped in the oven. The cheese, which I'm pretty sure is Daiya, was tooooo much. It had helllaa cheese over the spinach and the arugula that I BARELY even tasted. I would have preferred more veggies over cheese. I actually have the Daiya Cheddar Cheese in my fridge, so I added some on top when I was eating the remaining slices that came out of the toaster over.
The Olive Oil cake sounds as unappetizing as it tastes, hahaha. It's a small square cake with an icing-y? crust that's drenched in olive oil. Just holding the cake in my hands was spongy and oily, hence the name. I just wanted to try it for the sake of it, but definitely not a dessert I...
Read moreI admit that I didn't have any high expectations. When I think of Delicious, I think of the hip hop label and their contribution to West Coast hip hop history. I thought the pizza spot was just a novelty.
You can smack my mouth to be quiet. haha! Upon entering, you are not just in there to eat pizza and drink beer; you are there for an experience. The walls are adorn in hip hop memorabilia from posters, framed vinyl covers, promo pics and more. They blast hip hop joints from the Golden Age and the staff are so friendly and down to earth.
I tend to always buy a simple pepperoni pizza when I try any pizza joint for the first time. It's good pizza. Their selection of craft beer is okay, in which Stiegl, Flying Dog IPA and Allagash grabbed my attention.
Although the pizza did not bump off my top three favorites in the city (again, it's was still good_, I would definitely go here for the ambiance, the friendly service and to support a...
