Denny's — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Was looking forward to eating out with my family it started out well, but then went south real quick . While placing the order, it went well she was pleasant polite it was all good then fter we placed our order , we never saw her again ! Didn't get my appetizer before my meal got it during. I never got my salad before my dinner. I got it towards the end! We kept looking for our waitress, no where In Sight . We had to get someone else to get her so I could actually get my salad . Then NEVER saw her again ! No refills, NO visit to the table to see if we are OK NOTHING !! Thirsty as heck and wanted to order a meal to go but decided not to. And what was really bothersome was the fact the other waitress saw us looking around for her but didn't tell the waitress! They all stood behind where the barrier is just chatting away. Was the worst service ever not sure if we will go back because after this review, who knows how our service will be if we returned. My kids love Denny's, so hopefully, we'll go somewhere. But I have to say whoever was or is cooking back there can throw down ! Everything was so delicious ! All the food was so good!...

We arrived late and the first thing I noticed was the waiters attitude. The waiter greeted us in a lazy manner and we were not the only one there were other customers that came after us and were treated the same. I. Decided to take my family elsewhere as we started to walk out I was approached by the manager he ask if we wanted to take the food to go. What surprised me is he didn't even ask what went wrong he was more concerned if we were going to pay for the food that we didn't received. I try to explain to him that his employee needed more training in customer service. He didn't even bothered to listen to my concerns or comments and walked away. This is not acceptable And if you ask me they should have kept cocos and especially their employees who have been serving highland park customers for years. I speak of experience I have held a District Manager position in fast food and trained many managers to run a restaurant. My family and I will never return to this...

A lot of the locals, especially me, consider this dennys as Coco-Dennys. Because cocos once stood here. So I may be biased to this location, I do, however, feel that this Dennys feels more homely, very chill and relaxed. I love coming here during the evenings.

It's hard to review a chain because, typically, the food will be the same. Now, for me, what matters next is the location, parking, service, and the feel of the restaurant. There is ample parking, and the location is in between the outskirts of Highland Park just before south Pasadena.

The service is nice, it varies from time to time, but never horrible, just nice and good. I don't typically see large crowds except for federal holidays. All in all, I love this location.
